Good Gong Clip

Good Gong Clip

Postby TheEqualizer on 08 Sep 2007 06:33

I saw this clip on YouTube. I thought it was kind of unique as I hadn't seen a clip that quite caught the opening gong like this before (video taken from behind the band). The quality of the clip ain't the best, but well worth watching for the gong part alone. Or maybe I'm just partial as I was at this show.

I never realized how good Stewart WHACKS that thing.

I agree, I think I'm partial to because I was at the show.
I was in Section 108.
Where were your seats?

U17 Row R
I was afraid the view would be at too extreme of an angle. But actually this gave me a pretty good view of SC. better than that the floor seats I also had.

Good. Gong.

EQ, I hope you don't mind, but I plan to steal your "good gong" phrase as my new fave pseudo-expletive.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

i just got so excited i almost cried - seriously! the gong, people screaming, andy, people screaming, sting, people screaming, watching stewarts feet (which you never get to see), people screaming & singing.... i felt like i was right there.

there is NOTHING in the entire show like the feeling you get when they come out and start playing. nothing.

thanks EQ!

anyone notice the beach ball?
I never realized how good Stewart WHACKS that thing.
It looks like he puts everything he's got behind that swing. I bet he could really hit a baseball. Also, it looks like the crowd was having fun batting around the beach ball. It looks like it got pretty close to the stage. I kept wondering if it would actually hit the stage or anyone on it.
