Just got in from the Hershey show!!! THEY ROCKED!!! This was a real rock and roll show. The band was very tight and in the pocket all night. From the previous reports from other shows, I'd have to say that Stewart looked a bit distracted. I could be wrong but I didn't see a smile from him all night. Not even after the "Stewart Copeland show" line from So Lonely. His playing was amazing beyond words.
I don't think the set list changed. Sting seemed very happy that the crowd sang at the top of its lungs all night. He seemed a bit amazed during WAYF when he would stop singing in mid line and the crowd would finish it for him. Very cool.
Andy was all smiles and nailed everything! A funny part happened after So Lonely when Andy took his guitar off and ran off stage leaving Sting and Stew staring at him bemused. Andy quickly returned a bit red in the face. Sting told him that the nice people of Hershey paid a lot of money to see him and he should entertain them. A great laugh followed. Sting asked him to play something and Andy launhced into EBYT.
The tempos to all of the songs were jacked to the max all night! I've been following then on YouTube and have to say that every song (including ISun) was played uptempo and balls out rock.

The best thing about the night was Sting's voice. I've been reading articles and reviews about him not hitting the high notes and singing down some parts in the songs. Um, NOT TONIGHT. He sang all of the original high parts and shredded them. I was blown away by his pipes in DTT, SL and DSSCTM.

The crowd was way into it. I didn;t see anyone sitting anywhere. People stood and danced and sang all night. Great atmosphere!

Sting again ended the night after a fast and Andy distortion filled NTY by saying "We will see you again!". Here's hoping that my first Police concert ever will not be my last! They were really, really great.

FP was OK. Sting's kid can really sing but I think his songs need catchy hooks. There's nothing memorable about the tunes. The crowd was very polite to them and gave them nice applause after every song.

I'll write more later as I am still shaking with excitement over this great night!

p.s. I looked but didn't see the flag :-(

2 quick points I forgot...

No "Dead End Job" at the end of NTY. And I may be crazy, but I think I heard a "Fill It Up" refrain bit from Sting from "OMyGod" during the jam at the end of either DDDD,DDDD or CSLY. Memories a bit fuzzy right now. I swear Sting and Andy were singing 'Fill It Up"...

It was cool to hear the extended jams in so many of the songs, WOTM, DTT, IS, etc...

I have to say, Stew won me over with his playing in WIYF and WAYF. I wasn't thrilled when I saw them on the tour set list, but they were really great!
