Heart attack. Grew up watching the reruns. Saw Davy both with the Monkees in 86-87, with Mickey around 93 and solo around 2004. My older son has Sandra Boynton's "Your Personal Penguin", in which Davy sings.

Yet another chunk of my youth gone... :(

Davy was probably my third heart throb (behind Paul and later, George.) RIP, Davy. On to RocknRoll heaven...

Davy Jones, Officer Chekov, Bobby Sherman, and Yul Brynner......sighhhhh.......
So long, Mr. Jones. All the best to his family, and extendeds. I still enjoy "Day Dream Believer".

Yeah, this has my childhood self's brain a bit messed up.

I met him for a few seconds at a book-signing back in the '80s, of which I remember little beyond that his handlers were mean and he was shorter than I was. (I was about 10.) But a friend of mine worked with him last year or the year before on a kids' song. By all accounts, a genuinely nice man.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Oh, yes Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy.
My first concert was actually David Cassidy. <shakes head>

Not quite the stuff of Tourzilla.
