Five years missing Uncle Ian...

Five years missing Uncle Ian...

Postby ItsAlright4U on 23 May 2011 16:26

Hard to believe it was five years ago Barbara and Chandra's dad, and our Uncle Ian flew off over the horizon and out of site of AUI.
I hope all my AUI mates will join me in lifting a glass (or two) to our most welcoming host... Leroy!
cheers,
-doug.aui

Miles brought us the Police.
Ian brought the Police to us!
You've locked the doors on your good living
And you told me to wait

Ian was an amazing person. I recently found out he's laid to rest at Westwood Memorial. Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Farrah Fawcett and MANY others rest in peace here. Unfortunately, I did not know Ian was here when I last visited this cemetary, so I was unable to pay my respects. Next time!

Rest in Peace Ian.

Here's to Leroy.

I remember meeting Ian for the first time in his bar. ...dammit. just getting teary..really
since I live close to his place, I went in there a few times for a beer, ok.. for the shows, the laughs and the Police memorabilia. Ok..one more time...first time I met Ian I asked him about the New York thing ( bringing the Police to USA for the first time). Man he went on like it was just yesterday. If there was one man I met ( out of a small list) who has class, style, mojo, and great sense of humor, it was Ian. I miss him...
