If you were in the Pit, Ellie, the show would have had to been stopped so that they could bring out the defibulators. Either that or we would have had to have had you medicated to the point where I would have had to have held you up like Conroy held up Sally.

I agree with EQ, you belonged in that pit with us, GG. I used to belong to a mailing list devoted to Stewart probably about 10 years ago, and it was you who faithfully posted about your love for Stewart more than anyone else who subscribed to that mailing list. You were definitely in the pit in spirit!!!

No, I could not have made the pit - my last pit experience was at the Bowery Ballroom in NY and I swore NEVER.AGAIN, not even if Traffic in the original formation came back from their graves - but the side spot where Stewart (and somebody else) was sitting seemed a better place for me.

What I do not get is that concept of "deserving" to be in the pit. What is the basis for reading into a fan's heart and knowing how deep is his/her love, regardless of seniority or other factors?

Some people need to wear burkahs and be medicated, some people have jobs that don't allow that flexibility, others are sick or have children (think of Vickie) others are too far away and cannot afford it etc.

I think that, with the due exceptions (trolls et similia) those who are here are all "deserving" to be part of the family, of the militant fandom one way or the other.

And I am not speaking only for myself, goodness forbid, after all I had my modest but unforgettable share.

There were certainly those in the Pit that neither deserved nor belonged in the pit. Number 1 on that list is that ass who went out of his way to fuck up the picture Pecos was trying to take of me in the pit and then grabbed Bongo Boy's hat when she tried to take a picture the second time. I swear Russ was going to tear the guy's head off and shove it straight up his ass. But that ain't the Bongo Way. I think you know who Number 2 on the list is, TOWOS.

I took that “glorious” photo from my front row, center seat at JB2. The reaction I got when I posted it the following morning was really funny…I have to say it sent more than one Floozie over the edge. Link below to catch up on the fun if you missed it…

It’s my first post…
It’s rather late, but I really want to say Thank you, Stewart!!
It’s first experience going to USA, personally, and saw concerts,JB,MSG.
I can’t say anymore! GREAT SHOWS! SO AMAZING!!!

And also say thanks for you guys!!
It’s so much fun! Balls were all over the place on stage at JB!
Fans got together, so familiar feelings at Apollo Theater.
And I deeply deeply moved seeing many “THANK YOU” cards displayed to Stewart at MSG. I wanted to display a card too!
I was glad I was there. It’s most memorable days of my life!!!
Thank you, again!
