Thursday, Breeders in Asheville, NC
Friday, Breeders in Atlanta, GA

Dude, you totally forgot Nick Cave! Oct. 4th, right?

Also, I was thinking about Peter Murphy in NY on Friday 6/27...

Reporting from Atlanta, and having seen them the night before in Asheville, the Breeders tore the f*in roof off two nights in a row. Would've been perfect if Dive would have been able to make it <cry>

Setlist basically same both nights except they came back after the encore tonight, being the last date of the US tour.

(Not in order cept first and last) tipp city*huffer*bang on*divine hammer*pacer*its the love*no aloha*new year*cannonball*happiness is a warm gun*safari*nite of joy*were gonna rise*overglazed*driving on 9*german studies*i just wanna get along*here no more*iris*saints

And tonight they came back after to play one of my faves, fortunately gone!

BLOODY AMAZING TIME!!! The wilco show from acl is on and glenn is just drenched in sweat toward the end-- basically free in-room rocker chick porn--so super cat signing off, over and out <grin>

ETA: PR I definitely haven't forgotten, was just previewing the rest of June! I saw Peter Murphy was gonna be playing the venue I was just at ina few weeks. Never got the story why Bauhaus didn't tour for their new album, but at least he's on the road...

hiring a lawn man: priceless!

now I can plant and play in my garden instead of the regular grind taking the time I have, and enjoy my garden! :)

In LA, it is just plain STEWpid not to have a lawn man- it's even less expensive than my monthly coffee budget!

If you hire a lawn man, please make sure they are legally eligible to work in the country, Meg... I know, it's politics, but I can't help myself. It's a thorn in my side because my job is in jeopardy as a result.

my guy can barely speak English, but he's been in the country longer than I have been alive. And cutting lawns in LA for like 30 years.(and his 6 kids were all born here)

You can't really swing a cat without hitting someone here quasilegally in LA, and I don't ask for papers or anything, but I usually ask questions to get to know someone, which gives me a bit of info.

I am leaving shortly for the trek out to Jones Beach to see R.E.M. and I am sooooo excited i had to share it!! I'm taking my son, who's really into them, too, but the forecast out there currently calls for scattered thunderstorms! (Yikes! Time to find out how intrepid a 9-year-old boy REALLY is!) The car is packed with food, hooded jackets and a change of clothes...just in case we get totally soaked and don't want to sit in the car for two hours in drenched duds.

My husband says we look like we're running away from home! BUT we are psyched and ready for anything!

Can't wait!!

Can't wait to hear all about it, Nancy!

Though I'm not an REM fan, I'm sure it will be an excellent show.

Hope the little man enjoys his first (?) concert!

Ummmm just found out Devo is playing a few dates with the Tom Tom Club towards the end of this month in NYC, Boston, and Philly...<freaks out> I actually don't know who I'd be more excited to see...

The NYC date is in Brooklyn, where we already have picked out one of the best tattoo artists in NYC there, thinking we'd go in during the Police week...heh maybe earlier <grin>

Asheville entertainment weekly photographer (really cool fella) snapped a bunch of pics of the peeps in the front row and the show (hah SuperCat appears in some...I chatted with most everyone pictured at one point or another, great night!):

Looks like a GREAT time was had by all! I love that venue....

Full report on REM nancy! I bet that show is gonna be awesome. I saw them once at Nissan Pavilion, another smallish ampitheater, and they just blew the roof off the sucker....
