EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE
A remake of "Don't Stand So Close To Me" is the only unreleased track on this compilation that gathers together the best singles of the Police catalogue from "Roxanne" to "Every Breath You Take." Recorded in 1986, "Don't Stand So Close To Me '86" was the last chance to see the band working together on a studio track; unfortunately Stewart had been injured a few days before recording began, and his part had to be arranged and recorded using a drum machine. Another song, "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da," was also re-recorded but was not included in the track list of this compilation.

LIVE!
Recorded live in Boston 1979 and Atlanta 1983 and produced by Andy Summers, the album illustrates how the live experience of the Police grew from the early days of Reggatta De Blanc to the stadium shows of Synchronicity. The two concerts showcase some of the band's renowned jams, bringing to fans a broader picture of the music based on improvisation, originality, and the perfect harmony created by the three members of the band working together. An innovative, sophisticated drum performance by Stewart in the later Atlanta show is balanced by his faster, impulsive, creative sound during the earlier Boston performance.

SYNCHRONICITY
With their fifth studio album, Synchronicity, the Police reached the number one position in every country where the album was released and stayed in the Top Ten for months on both the singles and album charts in the U.S. "Every Breath You Take" became the most played song on the radio all over the world. "Synchronicity," the opening track of the album, and "Synchronicity II" perfectly showcase Stewart's drumming style. Rich with energy and unusual beats, Stewart's unique drumming was enhanced with electronic drum machines and rhythmic patterns to create an innovative sound. Reggatta de Blanc
Reggatta de Blanc is the second studio album by English rock band The Police, released in late-1979. It features the band's first two UK No. 1 hits: "Message in a Bottle" and "Walking on the Moon". It was their first album to reach No. 1 on the UK Album Charts. In early 1980, the album was re-issued in the US on two 10" discs, one album side per disc, as a collector's edition with a poster of the band. It was their second album to bear a foreign language title after the band's 1978 debut album Outlandos d'Amour. Reggatta de Blanc proved both more popular and successful than its predecessor. The title track earned the band their first Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance in 1980.
