THE POLICE - early 1978 TV appearances in Germany

I already sent these earliest TV appearances to a few people and just found the correct dates for them today:

18.05.1978
Cologne
TV show: "Bios Bahnhof"
Only The Wind - live (credited as THE POLICE!)

this was a live show and it was one of THE POLICE's free days during their Schoener concerts in Germany

30.05.1978
Munich
TV show: "ROCKPOP"
Trans-AM/ Rainbow- Medley - lip-synch
(with Eberhard Schoener)

This was broadcast on June 3, 1978
but the recording took place several days before...
If we can believe the date of their 1979 appearance (Roxanne / So Lonely) then these recordings took place on a Tuesday.
So May 30 might be the correct date for this - their Eberhard Schoener dates were completed - and they stayed in Germany - at least for a visit at Olaf Kübler's house...

if you mean the (about) 40 min. bit - then it would probably be the end of June 1979. Sting's jacket is the giveaway!

I have a "C/C+" copy, unfortunately it's in B&W... but it's complete and lasts 57 min.

Dietmar, is "Only The Wind" the only song The Police performed on "Bios Bahnhof" ?

I have the date of May 29, 1979 for "So Lonely/Roxanne" on Rock Pop...
and I've checked on your page: it's the same too !

the date is from the Visual Documentary - which is a nice book, but can't always be trusted!

as far as I know ONLY THE WIND is the only song from the Bios Bahnhof show, but I must admit I don't know too much about the POLICE's TV shows - got to improve my collection soon!
