He thinks he's better then us. He's ashamed that I like the same stuff he dose, and seems to think that the music is somehow less because of it.

OK, once and for all. :)

There's a lot of enthusiasm here on this board. But sometimes things are interpreted the wrong way. Sometimes people's memories mix things up a little bit. Then others get the impression that certain collector's items do exist or that things happened in a certain way...

I've researched the POLICE's history for years now and the only thing I want to do here is make things clearer for everybody. That some items do exist, some do not. That some events did happen, others did not.

A lot of people look for certain recordings and I offered my help in the past. Only few really asked for anything. They always got what they asked for. But a lot are just enthusiastic / excited and don't really work a little bit to achieve anything.

So I'll present what I think is interesting or necessary in the most neutral way - and I guess we can all live with that.

If anybody wants to know anything about THE POLICE's past or discography - everybody's welcome.

Thank you very much Dietmar.

I esteem your offer.

For me you are also a real artist, to want to share your work with us, just because you want to do it...

Dietmar,

I think everybody here understood you.

Girls and guys,

You are playing with words. You are not at school.

There's no shame to learn... because Dietmar is not your teacher but your friend. Everyone has so much to learn from a friend.

Dietmar is just sharing his passion with you.

Big respect for Dietmar !!!
Your work for collecting infos about the Police such as precise events, or for giving a date on each photo you've got is simply amazing !
Being myself a hardcore Police fan for 20 years, I try to do the same things (but I can't hold a candle to you...) and I'm always on the lookout for exact infos about events, photos, concerts (set lists, different versions...).

Thanks for sharing !

Dietmar rule!

Postby giovanni on 18 Oct 2006 21:44

Hey gang, we're all here to 'help each other' with our news, discoveries, curiosities, stories, pics, links .... right?

No matter if someone discovered The Police and/or Stewart music in the last couple of weeks or in the last couple of decades, right?

I'm very pleased when I see very young fans logging in this forum as well as reading posts from people that writes just every now and then...this means they all got caught by our enthusiasm...and I also think all of us got a different sense of humor, right?

I'm honoured to have Dietmar here as everybody else; sure Dietmar got that something that nobody else have, and is giving it to all of us for free; but each one of us got something 'exclusively', maybe a story to tell how she/he met Stewart or Sting or Andy, and each one of us is the only owner of something to give to this website .... there is no competition, or at least I didn't built Stewart website to make fans compete in any way, and frankly I don't see competitions here...

It's just that each one of us got his own way to relate to a certain issue, but it's always done to help someone else request; is there anything better than that?

How do I enlist in the army of the Planet of Love?

I know none of you personally, but I read your stuff here daily. I often quote Sockii, Capt. Blood, georgygirl etc. to my girlfriend.

As a matter of fact, when I read Giovanni's post and laughed, my girlfriend asked "What did Dietmar say?"

Let's keep it going and get along. Thanks for being cool while adding to my knowledge and appreciation of Stewart and The Police.

Thanks for the nice words Samburu.

One of the goodies about this addiction posting here is that people enjoy while reading/posting.

For me is an excellent way to improve and practice my English reading and writing.

Posting and reading between pals that have the same preferences in The Police and KK music is an awesome Policexperience. 8)
