Andy signing, last night in New York

Postby Grace on 14 Oct 2006 16:05

Hey Ben - now I know who you are! I think I could recognize Bongo as well as I believe he did get his pick guard signed.
It was a really enjoyable evening. Andy is so comfortable in public. It was great that the crowd was a little more intimate, although chairs would have been most welcome.
Andy graciously signed both my book & the insert from Everyone Stares. His looping signature covered almost the entire front photograph & he said "It's mostly me then, innit?" and I said "I guess I had better hope that I don't meet Stewart anytime soon" and he replied "Why, he's not in it?"
Tee hee!
I'm waiting to see Bongo's review too. I only started the book in the couple hours prior to the signing, but so far so good & the excerpts were great. Loved the pink boots story.
If I'm holding a beer, some of it is probably going to get on him, you know?

Hey Ben, hey Grace.

I am still thinking about how cool he was and when I asked him "is it rude for me to give you my CD?"

he says " No Man, that's really cool"

Good old Police, my Beatles.

Great meeting some of the cool fans too!

Yes, it was a fun evening. I just wish I had brought more stuff to get signed! I just finished reading Andy's book. It was a fun read. Note for the paperback edition, Chapter 20: Winnipeg is in Manitoba, not Saskatchewan. Vive le Canada!
