Stew's Stick on display at Rock & Roll H.O.F.

If you get the chance, visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio USA. It has been awhile but when I was there last, there was a really cool display of drumsticks from many of the greats including Stewart of course. The sticks were in a great big circle on the wall.

The cool thing about Stew's stick is that it is a Regal Tip by Calato. He has not been with them for a long time (I think) so I am guessing the stick is from way back in the Police days which made it really neat to see in person (for me). He has been with Vater sticks for awhile now.

Maybe Stew can give background on where that stick is from and where other Police memorabilia is on Display? I do hope it really was his. His autograph was on the stick (not printed) if I remember correctly.

Hi folks,

When i was in Rome 2 years ago, the Hard Rock cafe had Andys Hamer guitar, the sort of stretched strat with the motherbucker triple coil pickup. I meant to go back and get a picture but i never had the time....

At the end of a concert, does Stewart throw out his drumsticks out into the audience?

Stewart usually throw away a lot of drumsticks.... during the concert mainly, not at the end.

It's probably not a wise idea to throw sticks out into the audience these days, especially if there is any money-hungry lawyer in the audience. When I went out to see the Dares out in Arizona last year, the drummer threw them out in the audience at the end of their set and Ian nearly went ballastic because if it hit someone in the eye, they could have gotten sued out of existence.

I remember seeing Stewart throw them backstage at the Gizmo show in NJ. I don't think I saw him throw any into the audience.
