SQUEEE! 9 more sleeps for me. The kids and I (and pluto) need this trip!

DM, I figured, but am happy to be the backup in case Donna drowns in her mai tais!

However, I will do my utmost to make sure that happens.

...Midori carries the flag to the Osaka concert.

STOP 4: FEBRUARY 10 -- Osaka (Midori)

JOURNEY 5a: Osaka to Tokyo
Midori carries the flag back to Tokyo. Before the 13 February concert, Midori hands the flag to Uccellina.

STOP 5a: FEBRUARY 13 -- Tokyo (Uccellina)

JOURNEY 5b: After the 13 February concert, Uccellina hands the flag back to Midori, who carries it to the show the next night.

STOP 5b: FEBRUARY 14 -- Tokyo (Midori)

JOURNEY 6a: Tokyo to Honolulu
After the 14 February concert, Midori hands the flag to Shig, who carries it by plane to Honolulu on Friday, 15 February. At OutlandoGirl's hotel that day, Shig hands the flag to OutlandoGirl, who carries it to the 16 February show.

STOP 6a: FEBRUARY 16 -- Honolulu (OutlandoGirl)

JOURNEY 6b: After the 16 February concert, OutlandoGirl hands the flag to Caligula, who carries it to the show the next night.

STOP 6b: FEBRUARY 17 -- Honolulu (Caligula)

JOURNEY 7: Honolulu to NJ
After the 17 February concert, Caligula hands the flag to Donna, who carries it by plane to NJ. At some point soon after, Donna hands the flag to DM, who carries it home to Mission Control for debriefing.

STOP 7: Mission Control

It will have done so in a very unorthodox way, but once the flag gets back to mission control after spreading germs and joy in australasia, asia, and the mid pacific, it will have circumnavigated the globe.

Quite an achievement I think. And the soundtrack has been ok too ;-)

I am sad to announce that, because of a family emergency, Caligula won't be able to make his trip to Honolulu. I am absolutely gutted for him and his wife Angela as I know how hard they have worked for this trip. My love and best wishes to you both, Caligula.

But I am pleased to announce that D-A-O has kindly agreed to serve as a replacement Flag-Bearer for Honolulu Night #2. (The new schedule tweak is below.) Welcome aboard!

I feel very bad for caligula and it is an honor to take the place of flag bearer on the second night.
Maggie gets to be in close proximity both nights.

In other words, Much as I love you all and completely understand the desire to call shotgun, please sod off until you've got information that I can use. Thank you.

And REMEMBER: The Flag can't get to every show. Not for lack of desire, but for lack of resources and time. I just saw the dates, and many are very close together and can only happen if someone can mule from one location to the next. Sometimes it will work; sometimes it won't. Everyone please keep that in mind. Thank you.
