The Leroy Coolbreeze Fund/MIF *UPDATE*

Postby nancyrose on 26 Jan 2008 04:25

With the new year underway, it seems like a good time to report that contributions to the Leroy Coolbreeze Fund totaled more than $1500. Additionally, donations have continued coming in in 2008!

These funds will greatly enhance the educational and patient support programs provided by MIF.

To everyone who contributed, thank you so much! It is really gratifying to see how this community comes together and gets the job done!

I just read something about this the other day and I think it's a WONDERFUL THING! YIPPEEE! I WILL be making some sort of a donation to this-a very worthwhile cause INDEED...in honor of Stew's wonderful brother Ian and my father (and some other relatives) who passed from the very same thing.....this is TRULY a blessing!

You know what? I know this is a sore subject, but I hope Stewart mentions that $1500 figure if he talks about Flaggy on the band DVD (whether its the fan club one or other).

I am proud to know you people. For real. We turned something that was just fun into a tangible good for cancer patients. I think that kicks ass.

Yep, sure does kick ass. Glad to know everyone and this little fun thing has turned out to be such a major Kool thing. WE RAWK!!

Yesterday I left a local fast food restraunt and while leaving the parking lot I saw something that made me stop instantly and I dropped my jaw followed by streams of tears. I had to pull into a spot and get myself together. I couldnt drive.

On the rear window of a car...in PINK letters it said

SURVIVOR....with the ribbon next to it.

Wow. That one hit me big time. I cried one part happy for her, but on the other hand of course...sad for those who have lost.
