I agree. Alot of these entries won't mean anything to anyone who's not on the forum (ie Holidarian, Deitmar) and I think it would lose it's special Stewartness if it was tossed out to the general public.
Stewardness

That definitely should be on the list.

Hope is not too late, ... I just came up with one kopelandik term ... :D

Kriptonic Komma: a state of deep unconsciousness caused by staring for too long at obnoxious avatars displayed at sc.net portraying large images of the man himself.
I work for myself, I wont work for no-one else!

In response to some questions, comments, and suggestions that I’ve received over the past several days, I want to clarify a few things:

The “freeze” that I asked for last week was only a temporary thing so I could go through all the posts and make sure nothing was overlooked. That has been accomplished. I do not foresee another freeze in the future.

More than a couple people have commented that the procedure for how to update the Dictionary may be unnecessary. Since it appears that the initial avalanche of new entries is tapering off, I’d like to volunteer to continue to do the updating as new entries are received, if that's acceptable to everyone.

The Dictionary started off as a fun little thing (isn’t that how the Flag started?), but has rapidly become what appears to be an actual reference document with several people contributing regularly. In that spirit and while trying to combine fun and seriousness, here are some very loose “guidelines” that I thought of. Of course, please feel free to suggest any alterations that you think may be necessary:

1. The Dictionary belongs to all of Copelandia, and no suggestions for entries will be rejected unless they are of a completely offensive and/or irrelevant nature.

2. Entries will only be altered to correct obvious spelling, grammar, or translation issues.

3. TOWOS and Schmaffy are the organizers, but Giovanni and Eugenio are the final word. What they say goes.

3. Suggestions for additional entries may be sent to TOWOS, Schmaffy, or posted in the thread for inclusion in the next version.

4. New entries will be marked with an asterisk for the easy viewing of others.

(Note new entries as of today's version include Green Monster, Kilt, Kryponic Koma, and Nike Golf Tech Extreme)

:)

OK Girls
I've got a couple new ones:

*Rotting Superhero

Stewart's Challoween costume at the 10/31/07 show at MSG. Though a mystery to many, it was explained by The Man as, "Superhero has been rotting in his grave. Gets dug up, eats small child, plays concert."

* "bowl de cereal" and "cup a tea"

The extent of Stewart's culinary repertoire according to his Dinner Tale, "Bake-Off in Fort Worth."

Awesome work, Schmaff!!! And great guidelines. Could not agree more.
And yes, Gio and Eug have Veto power like the President.
The only requirement to contribute is abiding to the guidelines.

I must thank Schmaff and all of you because I have to complete a huge project otherwise I won't be able to go to Savannah and not having to bring the F****r (read laptop) with me.
I am behind on my deadline and all my posts are written at the speed of light because, you know, addiction is addiction. But I am starting to fall apart physically, too little sleep, too much joint pain, and after I see my chiropractor today I will know more about how to divide my time on the Internet and how to find ways to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.

Gratefully yours,

TKE

Fantastic new avatar Jackie. Brings back fond memories. By the way, I made it to the new-ish Las Vegas Guitar Center and saw the HUGE pic of STEWART in the window, which was taken on the same day as your avatar. Its right on the corner as you turn to the front of the store. I'll try to take a pic of it the next time I go. The Guitar Center is next to a Yard House restaurant, which boasts the world's largest section of beer on tap, so I figure I MIGHT be frequenting that area in the future (the restaurant is not open yet).
There is no bigger gong.
~long distance hugs to Shmaff~

Would you be interested in an online wiki where you can add all of these and update it more easily?
I haven't been able to follow all of this conversation (busy setting up several new projects), but:

1. There is an overall PoliceWiki under development. DM and I are working on getting it sorted for public launch within the next month (so no link to it yet, though it will be part of policefans.org) There will be a fandom section where such things as terminology within Police fandom will be welcome to be added discussed. For more info on what the project will involve (and yes, I'm looking for more sysops and folks interested in working seriously on it), please check this sub-forum if you get a chance:

http://www.policefans.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=19

2. There is also FanHistory

http://www.fanhistory.com

which is a pan-fandom wiki and a project I support and work on. The Kopelandik dictionary as a whole might seem/be too specialized for full inclusion there, but some of the terms I do think would be great to add to an article on Police fandom terminology--or on the page about sc.net. Or simply a link to the fact that the fandom here has worked on developing a glossary/dictionary for the great amount of terminology we've developed.

*goes back to lurking/working on other stuff*
*just wanted to toss that out*
