THE IMPOSSIBLE TRIPLET IN "NO TIME THIS TIME"..HOW

hi, i'm a drummer from italy and as many many drummers i'm a big fan of stewart's hands(and feet).. :)
finally i found a forum where to ask THE BIG QUESTION:
how can stuart play the verse of "no time this time" from ragatta the blank???
too many strokes for a double-handed man!
i'm just asking it to my self since i was 8...still no response...
do you want to see my face during my first "no time this time" earing?(time..time)

Something tells me Stewart would say the overdubs would have something to do with it. I've always wondered and don't see how that can be played either without some electronic help. :)

I too have always wondered about those fills at the end of "No Time This Time". I know that they are overdubs but that doesn't matter to me, I could never play that final drum fill....just by itself. Never mind playing the beat and putting in the fill, just sitting at the kit and trying to do that" durlitt, durlitt...dugga, dugga, dugga,dugga". That's the only way I can write it. Thta's why my favorite fill has been the earlier one (from No Time This Time) that I wrote on a previous post, "blat,blat.....bap....ba-dapp", so simple and sounds great.

I think I suck.

I was very amazed of the Message in a bottle's drumming too.

Sure Stewart did some overdubs in 'Message...' and he confirmed he did about four overdubs...

Yea, 'Message" is a classic tune. Like Andy says in "Outlando's to Syncronicities", he likes the actual sound of the recording...a really nice feel. Those guitar riffs at the end are still some of my all time favorite licks.

Some of the cymbal hits are placed in some really nice spots...not typical of anyone else's drumming, what else is new about Mr Copeland's playing.

Excuse me Bongoboy,what is exactly "Outlandos to syncronicities"?

It's a lot like "Police Around the World" it's a video of interviews and live footage. A lot of it is the same stuff that is in "Police around the World" but with some different live footage. I really, really love watching documentaries of how the Police recorded and wrote. You can sometimes find these VHS tapes used...as far as I know none are on DVD yet, I don't know why.

It's really great stuff for Police or Copeland fans, you should try to find it on-line.

Have you seen the DVD "Everybreath you take 25th anniversary"? It has all of their video's and interviews from Monseratt where they recorded. It also is very good...and more available. The previous video's I mentioned are kinda like this one only more live stuff.

Have you checked StewartCopeland.co.uk they have a video section with clips from various media. I believe they have a clip of both of those VHS video's I was talking about.

The website mentions THIS website so I thought it was OK to recommend it here. If I am not supposed to promote any other site I'm sorry, but it seems like these sites co-existing nicely...just like Copeland fans...and how can you not assist another Copelandian in his quest?.
