Everyone Stares on Showtime in August!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey!!!

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 08 Aug 2006 03:53

I noticed thanks to our very own GIOVANNI and EUGENIO in the end credits!!

And just think - they talk to us every day...it's our own collective brush with greatness... 8)

Seriously, it's pretty cool those guys got thanked for the world to see. They put in a lot of work around here and it's awesome The Man appreciates it.

I fucking MISSED IT! My old boss said I could have the day off...but she's gone, now I have a prick to deal with. I'll be lucky to have the 31st off to see it. No one else in this house will burn it for me wither....

Tell me someone's uploaded it...come on.

Ahhhh.

Well...

Postby giovanni on 09 Aug 2006 11:59

Sure I was more than shocked when I saw that Stewart decided about putting our names on it....more specifically we worked on the whole graphic design, deciding the cover, and working on it with lots of ideas that we discussed with Stewart.
Eugenio made the most important touch, as he decided the graphic, which picture to put in the front cover, in which way (that kind of lens...); he made about 10 different covers and showed them to me...I picked up the one that you see now, same did Stewart...but we all discussed it about it even before seeing the 10 different covers made by Eugenio.

When I furst saw the movie more than a year ago, I immediately suggested Stewart to present it to some indipendent film festivals, and he said he would think about it...that was an impression I immediately had ... and it happened...ehehe, even if for what I know it was Les Claypool who told Stewart to contact the guys at the Sundance.

Stewart also did the foreword to my book ....

You have a book?? Where do we get it? Is it available in English?

Well, that's great you and Eugenio were able to be involved. It's always fun to work with people you like and respect. The movie is marvelous, and I was just thinking how cool that fisheye effect looked, that you decided to use on the cover. (I teach underwater photography professionally, so I tend to notice these things.)

Here's hoping for many more such opportunities in the future! Thanks for all you do! DotD

[quote="giovanni"]no, it's not about Gizmo, it would have no sense.
It's something that will make happy collectors...but it's something that in a way or another we shlud all have...it's just something than now we can have in an official way....

Copies of ES:TPS

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 09 Aug 2006 20:48

Hey all, I've gotten a couple requests for copies of the TV broadcast of "Everyone Stares"...Let me know if ya need one. I have a super-duper fast DVD burner, so really it's no big deal.

If I get a lot of overseas requests I may have to ask everyone to mail me a couple bucks to pay for postage, but as things stand now I really don't mind simply mailing 'em out. All I ask is that you promise, cross your heart, to buy the DVD when it comes out; and that you don't sell copies for profit (not that I think anyone will do that, but we want to make sure Mr. C gets his cut when the official release drops.)

I've had lots of other fans make me copies of hard-to-get things over the years and I figure it's my turn. Drop me an email if you want one with something like "EVERYONE STARES" in the subject line. Put your name and address in it and let me know if you have any special instructions like extra packaging.

Be sure to specify if you want an NTSC or PAL disc; through the miracle of modern technology, I can produce either format. ;)

Hi All,
Someone said the release date was supposed September 11th but then I thought someone else said it's gonna be in October. When exactly is it? Sorry to keep asking but I want to be sure so I know when to get it. Also, how much is it going to cost? Thanks.

Generally,
it depends from the land.

11 September (what a date...), it sure will be for England.

-Then (by example) 1 month more for tall lands of Europe (France) (and for US also ?), and 1 month more for small land as mine;
...beleiving what happened with Synchronicity Concert one year ago !

-Yoo see ?
-What are we doing now ? -Waiting for Godot.

Discs

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 11 Aug 2006 03:23

Well, you don't have to post it publicly or anything. Send me an email.

I sent out four discs today! I can do some more this week and next, but then I'm out of town for a couple weeks (going mountain climbing in Alaska...here's hoping the grizzly bears don't find me! )

One thing I forgot to say - I think that with this movie, Stewart reclaims the band from Sting. So THERE!

Go Stewart!
