Maybe I am missing something here. The website is called Stewart Copeland who is 55, has 6 children, and has never been seen in leather pants. Yet this is a forum that is called Stewart's dinner tales with a thread written by STEWART who is "40 something" and has 4 children, talking about his wardrobe. So, the user STEWART is obviously not Stewart Copeland. What's the purpose of this forum?

It's a collection of stuff Stewart wrote over time. Does it all have to be written right now? Why? And yes 'STEWART', is Stewart Copeland. If you don't believe it, no one really cares.

Okay, I get it. But I still have a couple of questions:

1. Is what you said above conveyed anywhere, like in the forum description? I would have never known that this is what the forum is about.

2. It the use "STEWART" really Stewart Copeland or is it someone who Stewart has handling the forum for him?

P.S. - I'm not trying to be an agitator. I'm just trying to learn. Stewart
is one of my all time favorite drummers. I am a drummer myself and he has been the most influence on me of all drummers.

To answer some of your questions:

This section is made up of a few stories written by Stewart detailing various adventures throughout his ife. As he says at the end of the OP, "Here follows a collection of strange tales about the things that can happen as I walk in the constant company of a distantly remembered mythical being." You are right that there really isn't any introductory material on the main page that a new person can point to, so I can see where it might be a bit confusing.

The Stewart in question is indeed The Genuine Stewart Copeland. He really and truly reads and posts on the forum. That can take a while for new folks to get used to, so don't worry -- you're not alone in your incredulity.

In his profile, you can see some of the posts that Stewart has made: http://www.stewartcopeland.net/forum/se ... or=STEWART That Disaster Gig post has been referenced ad infinitum all around the world as having been penned by the genuine article, so that wouldn't take you much effort to do a google search on if you wanted.

A decent woman would read previous comments prior to posting; however, when the numbers supass my fingers and toes, I lose my reading mojo.

It's funny how we spend our younger years sweating our wardrobes, regardless of rock stardom. As we get older, the careful consideration goes to pot and we simply put on whatever's comfortable. Eventually, we return full-circle and look in our closets and wonder why we don't have something decent that fits/matches/doesn't scare animals. I caught a glimpse of myself the other day and wondered why I still wear my nose stud. The stud is a result of a day of girl-bonding and I haven't taken it out. I color my hair in a shade of red that could never grown natrually from my scalp. I wear lipstick that was more appropriate for me 10 years ago. Time for a makeover? Whatever.

In my unprofessional opinion, you are in better shape than you were over 20 years ago. You've accomplished more professionally than my circle of friends who have fancy graduate degrees. You can rock whatever you want to wear because you'll always look fantastic.

Depends. Cheap orange-red makes a woman look like a hooker. I wear the good stuff; Carmindy is proud. Besides, it beats the hell out of the pink gloss the soccer-mom skanks wear in my neighborhood. Gah.

As for the nose stud, my girls and I are bound by our facial jewels. I'm thinking that it may be time for a new one, though. Hmm.
