EP stands for extended play. It used to be a record that had more songs than a single but less than an album, something like 4-7 tracks on average. Alice in Chains' JAR OF FLIES is an example.

My guess is the extra goodie will be Stewart's Deranagements.

Yeah, since a record wouldn't fit in with the DVD.

Well...

Postby giovanni on 26 Jul 2006 11:24

no, it's not about Gizmo, it would have no sense.
It's something that will make happy collectors...but it's something that in a way or another we shlud all have...it's just something than now we can have in an official way....

Ahh but that's so far from now. It is the dearangments, isn't it? Yeah, I'm sure of it. Or it could be Spyro, but much more likley the dearangments.

Does he think we won't still buy it if we can burn it from the tv broadcast? Of coarse we will! It just wouldn't be the same otherwise.

Don't be silly Stewart can't fit in with one DVD, let alone all the DVD's that will be sold.

But seriously, how many do you think will sell?

What exactly is the September release date of the DVD in the U.S.? I'm so excited about getting it I'm tempted to camp out at a video store the night before! (I always thought people who did that were a little too obsessed and needed to get lives, but now I understand the compulsion!) :D

I can't wait to get it either but camping out to get a copy, that's a stretch. All good things to those who wait, right?

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 28 Jul 2006 01:39

Just checked the Tivo to see if ES:TPS is in the lineup yet...and FOUND IT!!! The three showings on the 6th are there....can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait...

Only problem is I'm going to be scuba diving in Nassau that weekend and have to wait till I get home to watch. Y'all let me know if there are any other Police or Stewart/Andy specials planned before or after the broadcast times, OK? That way I can program 'em in beforehand...

Copies

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 28 Jul 2006 15:18

Seriously, I may be able to make a limited number of DVD copies for folks who promise to buy the full edition DVD once it comes out. Depending on what I can get hold of software-wise I may be able to park excerpts on YouTube (although I haven't looked into the copyright restrictions that apply to that kind of thing.)

I realize this will be the edited-for-TV version, but it'll be a darn sight better than nothing!

(Only thing is, watching this footage may make me feel old...I was in junior high when Synchronicity came out...gonna celebrate my 40th birthday in only a few more years now. Ain't it funny how time slips away, as the song goes.)

So, did everyone watch it last night? What did you think?

It was awesome! Thank you Stewart, for letting us be you for an hour! It was cool to see what happened on the other side of the camera. We saw video of so many still photos I have seen over the years - stuff that is in many books and on album and magazine covers, and the De Do Do Do video shoot was awesome! It was cool to see Danny Q with long hair, LOL, and of course to see the star, Uncle Ian. It really is a home movie for all of us. Of course, if you aren't a Police fan you probably won't understand a good part of it, but who cares?

Yes, I noticed some of the music was out of sequence with the time period of the film being shown, but it didn't matter. The derangements were phenomenol, and a great mix. My complaint about the Behind the Music show was that they were showing photos from 1981 and playing music from 1983 while talking about what happened in 1978, which was just too much out of whack.

I can't wait for the dvd with all the extra goodies on it! :D
yo!!
