I can double dip and get United Airmiles (from the mp mall) AND amex points for Zappos purchases. I think I am about to go shoe shopping!!!!!!! [/quote]

Looks like my work here is complete. Heh. Heh. Heh...

Hub is actually pretty cool about my shoes, since he likes to buy CDs. And camera gear. I think that's the trick: get the better half hooked on something else...

Nothing to see here, Pluto, move along...;)

talking with SS... we have come to the conclustion that when the most popular threads are "sexiest man" and "shoes", we need more shows.

lynne: you drink AFTER shoe shopping? that's a new one on me.... i need a few to jar my credit card loose. then i need a few afterward to ease the pain while going over the receipts. :D it's all good when you put them on though!

dive: hubs likes car stuff, but he never spends money! it sucks. i'm the spender in our house. i have the camera hobby TOO, so that won't work for me. books, cameras accessories, shoes, clothes, collectibles... you name it. at least i can't call myself a golddigger! i married a fence installer!

meg: we'll go shopping when you get to PA! a day at king of prussia should fix your shoe problem

We're so in! I'll bring an empty suitcase or two. I am already bringing one empty for Xmas pressies and one empty to smuggle Pluto home in;)

This thread will be the death of me. Now I have the urge to run out and buy loads of green shoes!

I really need green shoes.
My very first pair of chucks, back when I was 7, were green!

PS: We should have a Philly area shoe fest!

And looks like I will be heading to Philly, NY, DC, NC and maybe Boston. It's going to be a busy holiday :D

i'm out for sunday too.... hubs will be with me and he doesn't want to stay over and will definitely NOT be into shoe shopping. plus, no moolah at the moment in the budget for shoes. it's a sad couple of weeks at my house.... by the time meg gets here, i may be on the road to recovery though! if not, i'll gladly sit back, drink, and watch you guys purchase until your wallet is empty!

The weather forecast for Chicago today is "wintry mix", so it's time to pull out the L.L. Bean boots:

http://tinyurl.com/2m5cdv

Not perhaps the most stylish footwear (although I remember them being very trendy in the heady preppy days of the early 80s!), but they sure do fit the bill when it's snowing, sleeting, and raining almost all at the same time!

So these aren't really shoes, but anyhow. . .

http://www.skatersocks.com/25inchsocks.html

I'm not computer savvy enough to just post the pic of the socks in question, but if you scroll down almost to the bottom you'll see a fab pair of socks in black, WATERMELON, and GREEN! Would be tres chic with the watermelon shirts, no?
