Paging Policerule: *Everything* at SierraTradingPost.com is half-off today. I just scored another pair of these:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,958 ... Women.html

Which look awesome and are tremendously comfortable.

(p.s. some credit card math for those of us racking up frequent flier miles so we can see the 2nd leg of the U.S. tour: STP.com is a 3:1 partner on American Airlines, so you get those miles if you go through the AAdvantage mall, and then 1:1 AAdvantage points again through Starwood Preferred Guest if you use your Starwood Amex to pay for the transaction....I just figured out this double dipping scheme lately and it's working out quite nicely...)

Oooh, thanks for the AA mall tip! I always forget that one. And my Keen boots are losing their tread and their oomph, so replacing them now makes sense.

Outstanding! Glad to hear you're thinking of scoring some goodies. I just bought a slew of pants on STP.com as well, for hubby for Xmas...they had a great selection of Carhartts left, amongst other brands.

(Of course I meant "paging Policerule and all other fun, fabulous SC.net members looking for a great deal..." Don't mean to leave anyone out :))

I also feel obligated to mention that two of the other online vendors who participate in the AAdvantage Mall are Zappos and Onlineshoes.com.

Just reinforced my already-pretty-serious commitment to American Airlines!

(Hey Lynne, we're getting into off-topic, but check this out: If you've got an Amex with 25,000 Membership Rewards points on it, you can funnel them through Continental OnePass, Amtrak Guest Rewards, Choice Hotels and then into American to get a 1:1 free plane ticket [usually Amex points transfer over at 3:1, and it would take 75,000 MR points for the free ticket, so this is a good deal].

If you don't mind Southwest, those same points translate into THREE *free* roundtrip tix. If you do those 25K now and then another 25K in January, that's not only *six* free roundtrip tix, but it qualifies you for a free companion pass for a year. That's a lot of Police shows for you and a buddy.

Email me if you want the details. There's some concern this scheme won't be around forever, so act now if you want in.)

No, I don't work for Amex, but I do use mine for *everything.* Including mail-ordering Kleenex from Target.com to get the extra bonus miles. ;)

[edited to fix math, which was slightly off]

Sweet deal! Yep, I'm an AA and SWA gal. My AmEx is a Starwood one, though, so I don't get Membership Rewards points. I get hotel points instead, which I used to go to Toronto on my Police Odyssey ...!

I haven't gotten quite to the point where I put the groceries on the AmEx (or on the AA Mastercard), but I'm pretty close.

I have absolutely no love for shoes whatsoever, and if I lived in a warm climate, I would probably never wear shoes again.

But I admit that if I had an extra $200 to burn, I'd love either of these:

And even though these are rather hideous, they are so very krypton:

Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Jesus, you people are lethal!! I had already laid down the coin for these:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/search ... tions=True

(what can I say, it's cold outside, I need some Ugg boots, only with instep support)

and now I'm going to have to get out the credit card again, apparently...

Thanks for that Birk link, DM. I've been thinking about some Boston clogs - STP.com has them but they're puke green and I'm not so sure about that - and some Sparta sandals to replace a pair I lost last summer.

Loving those Prana slides, too, but the Amazon photo is teeny tiny. Anybody got a link to a larger photo? Maybe Zappos...
