Oh, and thanks to Conroy for being my date. :-)

We sat on the aisle and the people to our right were constantly getting up to get beer, etc. I don't get it. I can drink any time. The Police are serious business, and there is no way I'd leave during the show to get a drink if you paid me. Especially because I know I wouldn't leave to pee during the show either, lol!

This has always puzzled me, too, Kim. WHY would you pay $$$$ to come to a show and miss half of it because you're either in line for beer or in the bathroom because of beer? Not to mention the fact that you're missing THE F-ING POLICE! WTF?

Why would anyone want to be drunk during something like this, isn't just being at the event enough of a high? I can't imagine walking out on any great performance, for anything short of a real emergency, even then, it's debatable.

Mardee, I SO get this. I like a good drink. But the beer man comes by if you NEED one.

Also, I am soooooo high from the pre-show get together and the concert vibe that most people think I am Waaaaaaay drunk when I am just nuts.
I am ok with that, I am having fun for the first time in a long time.

Awesome video is coming of Halloween concert!

Postby CirceNYC on 02 Nov 2007 19:48

I was lucky enough to sit next to and meet Meg and Nancy at the MSG Halloween concert... got some GREAT video of the beginning of the show. (and then the MSG police threatened to take away my camcorder...)

Of course, have been crazy at work and have not had a minute to review, download or post... looks like it will be Monday, the soonest. So keep checking this thread, or I'll start a new one.

nice to "meet" all of you... looking forward to making new friends!

Actually, had stumbled onto this forum earlier in the year, read about the flag, and looked for it at the August MSG concerts (as spotted it!), so I was psyched to find that I was in the midst on 10/31!

p.s. -- not my husband, but my brother... though I'm no longer holding out for Sting! ha!

Meg, thanks for the Cha! bracelet!

It was a pleasure being your date, Kim. It has been far too long since some of us old timers from Ask Uncle Ian got to hang out together. The last time was the book signing for Andy Summer's book signing at the Barnes and Noble October 10th 2006. What year it's been since then!!!

Yeah, even though I find it curious that people sit down when paying big bucks to see a show, being as I am of average height, I won't complain much if the people standing in front of me are taller than me which is usually the case. And doing the beer and pee runs in the middle of the show seems bit discourteous to me. That's why I prefer to my drinking and emptying of the bladder pre-show.

And I have to say sect404 is my new hero. After having an early morning breakfast in the Tick Tock Diner, GSC realized she had left her purse at Tir Na Nog. Still recovering from our OD on the huge quantities bacon we'd just consumed while trying to figure out what to do in the event we were unable to retrieve GSC's purse, sect404 had already flown out the door and run back down the block to Tir Na Nog and managed to get there literally just moments before the last remaining employees were about to leave for the night and found the purse exactly where GSC said she'd left it. I hope he will grace us with his presence at future sc.net/tpt.com gatherings.

I also wanted to give a shout out to the Hamburgerler and Gilligan who were among some of the celebrities that showed up in costume while we were at the Tick Tock Diner and made from great entertainment while we were there.

And welcome aboard Celeste. Another sc.nutter lurker makes a classy emergence! Hope to meet you at a future gathering!

Letting all of you know that I will be at the Atlantic City show tomorrow night... 2nd row! in front of Sting! (yes, that's a major furniture purchase I could have made...)

I am 6 feet tall, with very long brown hair... come and say hi if you're there!

By the way... don't know if this will work, but here are links to my snapfish albums... The Police at MSG in August (both nights), Fiction Plane on 10/31 and Andy Summers book signing last night. Most of the Police shots are off of the jumbo-tron (ha!); the Ficiton Plane and Andy shots are so-so... working on getting the videos up!

Enjoy!

Hi Guys! Sorry it took me soooooo long to post and put up my pics! I was soooooooooooo fucking exhausted yesterday and had to work today

It was an absolute blast at FATS and Tir Na Nog and the Tick Tock Diner (I think that was the name) and meeting up with you peeps before AND after the shows is the highlight of the trip...all you guys truely are the koolest fans eva. I finally got to meet a bunch more of the SC nutter krew: DirtyMartini, Moeskido, Nancyrose, GinaSuperCat (MEOW!), SamburuSunset, Conroy it was great to finally meet you guys and hang out pre/post show...and Sockii and Vespapod great to see you again...and all your costumes with lots and lots of Krypton greeeeeen...very kool!

I got to meet some CHArrific TPT peeps for the first time as well...Sect404 (thanks for the Tequila shot  Cmoonie (cutest little school girl) and the Teacher, Jdez and friend, Susan, JohnnyJumpStart (and friend)...you people make the night sooooooooo damn special! And getting to see Donna, Jeff, Mike, Pluto and Meg (thanks for my pressie sweetie *smooch*) again...it's like a family reunion :)

The show was fucking awesome...not just awesome but fucking awesome! I started out in section 116 row F (last row in that section) behind the stage but was scoping out Sec. 67 directly behind Stew...I must say it was awesome seeing a show from back stage and it was The Stewart Copeland Show all night for me :D I moved down to sec 67 where no one was sitting in the last seat right at the end of the isle about 5 rows back from the railing. I moved down to the railing after the first song and never moved or got booted...it was awesome. I could see Stewart banging away on his kit like 15 ft away...sweat flying of him at times...and the back of his neck glistening with sweet perperation *drools* OK...*picks up tongue*!

It was great to see them come out in costumes and Sting wasn't lying when he said tights and a cod piece on the Today Show...and he said he was horny to the crowd when he came out :D Boy does that man have one fine piece of a$$...it jiggled ever so nicely in those tights. Andy made a great Tramp...clever costume. And no one is sure what the hell Stewart was thinking when he got dressed up!!!

I was able to launch my first CHA ball on stage right when Sting was making a walk around the back of the stage to greet us! It landed right in his path and he gave it a kick off the stage as he walked by...WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!! That was soooooo great...i'm sure he didn't see what it said at that time but there were CHA! balls all ova the stage that night...alot of successful landings. They'd land in the left rear side of the stage are roll right over towards Andy...he kicked quite a few (including my second one) of the stage! You know for a fact that after the show they saw some of Dan's and Donna's balls up close

I thought the show was better than the Fenway show but both rocked for me as one was outdoors (and my first concert at Fenway Park) and MSG was my first indoor show...that place was awesome...not as big as I thought it would be! Hole in My Life sounded great with Hit the Road Jack at the end...It was awesome being able to hear that song for the first time and it rocked for me. I loved Wrapped again...and So Lonely...Walking...and Next to You...and there was such a BZZZZ  in the crowd on Halloween...it was sooooooooo much fun!

I tried to get the stage crew that came right out to tear down the set to throw me one of the two Stewart sticks that were lying right there on the floor by his kit! but NO ONE would do it  I kept yelling "HEY" HEY CUTIE" HEY YOU" BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Then I saw over in the 68 or 69 section that all the SC nutters where still hanging around so we all left and made our way over to Tir Na Nog to get sufficiently buzzed...that was a blast...and there's nothing like breakfast at 3 in the morning after having a few drinks at a place called the Tic Toc Diner down the block. Jeff and Mike and most of the gang had plenty of pork products...eggs and BACON with a side of BACON! I think DM and Moeskido shared an Elvis Presley shake (chocolate and peanut butter) MMM! and we had the sloooooooooooowest waiter bus boy dude serving us...it took forever to cook the damn BACON...Jeff and Mike and Meg reeeeeeeeeeeealy LOVED their BACON and licked their plates clean...well maybe not licked but there were NO leftovers...sorry Lisa...no BACON doggie bag!

We all kissed and hugged goodbye outside of the diner...it was great meeting all you guys for the first time...and great seeing all my TPT family again. We made our way back to our hotel and went to bed at like 4:30 and I think I got all of an hour of sleep as Jeff snores like a freakin' BUZZ saw  but I *love* you OLDER brother

I can't wait to see you again and party pre/post for the Gahden show on the 11th and to have another f'ing awesome night!!!

Here are my much anticipated pics...I hope they don't dissapoint as I noticed much talk about the pics here and there! Enjoy...they're a hoot :D

No doubt, mardee! My feet don't touch the ground for at least a week after a show! My ass is off the seat as soon as Marley starts, and doesn't touch it again! I just don't get why you would sit through or walk out of something we've been waiting so long for! :?:
