To me it was Stewart who gave tips to Sting for his role in The Bride...

My TiVo keeps recording the South Park movie because I've got "Stewart Copeland" as an "always record" keyword search...I originally put it in when ES:TPIO came out and just never deleted it. SC isn't in the description of the movie, I wonder if they have some sort of meta tagging process that catches his name.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Tivo's Wishlist goes beyond the show description and draws from a more detailed description unviewable by a user. This features has helped me Tivo shows featuring certain people that I would not have otherwise gotten (for example, Wish listing Pete Townshend results in Woodstock recordining).

By the way, now I can tell my wife that I am not the only person in the world who has set "Stewart Copeland" on their Tivo wishlist!

I've got Sting on my Wishlist, too, and we keep getting episodes of _Cops_. Very annoying! :x

Hmmm... Well, if it's not here by Xmas, Amazon cannot charge me. No harm done. But I have heard the same things as Visions, the production will be something like the Ghost in the Machine video. (Not great, but not to throw away either).

I think Stewart has been "cast in the wrong roles"...He would be great as a comedian! With him, it's always, even when he speaks about serious things, "here comes the punchline"! He seems to be able to see the irony in all aspects of life.

Let's face it: very few people are equally gifted musicians/actors, and most of them are dead or past their prime.

I actually like Sting as an actor but think he just not be given the right role.

I think Tom Waits is a good actor. I also like Bowie very much as an actor, though he also suffers from not being given good roles. Of course, I might be a little biased about Bowie. I'm sure I can think of more if I didn't have such a headache.

Brimstone and Treacle was good IMHO, I think he is good in Baddie roles. Several other movies he did had a cameo. He has a very expressive face, but he is a bit typecast by his physical type.

For headache, to quote Bowie, "the best drug in the world is Advil".

I do think that Bo has had his share of excellent roles, more than Sting (The Prestige, Merry Xmas Mr. Lawrence, Basquiat, obviously The Man who fell to th Earth,) and stinkers (Labyrinth, Zoolander, The Linguini Incident, The Hunger). The others are mostly cameos, like Sting, or he plays himself (one of my favorite movies of all time, Christiane F. , although in this case too the book is miles above).

DM said to post for a kind soul to send a copy of the DVD. I'd love one, if anyone is in a generous mood.

Cheers.

Haha. Dude, when the hell did I say that? Am I writing messages in my sleep again?

:P

Send me your address, Dave, and I'm happy to mail out a copy to you. Just don't tell Stewart. He'll have my head.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.
