I've FINALLY seen The Rhythmatist film

Haha. Oh, I understand exactly why Stewart is embarrassed. I admit that I cringed at times for him.

Jose, I find that the parts of the film that are similar to a documentary -- images of the landscape and wildlife, meeting new people, discovering different music in different places, even some of the stranger-in-a-strange-land bits -- work just fine. It's a bit dated in style because it's 20-something years old, but those parts work nicely and are often quite beautiful. (The giraffe chase is lovely.)

But there is this really dopey "plot" thrown on top -- a love interest (whose acting is just as bad as Stewart's -- please don't smite me, Stewart, but you kind of suck), a dream sequence (which is almost never a good idea, and this is an example of why), some questionable motivations and goals throughout, . . . It's a bit of a mess as it's bunch of disjointed sections loosely tied together by a bit of mumbo jumbo. And the number of times that we see Stewart give a big-eyed, crazy-eyed look of surprise or fear is rather hilarious.

Yeah I remember a bit about that dream sequence... I didn't see the entire movie, but I supposse editing cut this section won't be a problem if won't involves the story sequence. I thought exist some extra footage didn't edited into the final cut so I hope the master will gives some new shots to replace the others . Yeah that point of view about meeting new people from unknown world remember me reading some old magazines from my grandpa that revealed how exentric was some tourist to came in the 40's to Lima's airport with a "Safari" wear :lol:

That's why Stewart is a bit embarrased? Uhmmm well for instance wasn't his intention, only follows what the director told him and what in the script was... perhaps the director or producer were fans of "Tin Tin"

Will be cool watch this movie sincronized with the great soundtrack Stewart made (one of my favorites ever)

Do not want!!

The giraffe chase was amazing. Maybe that would have helped Star Wars.

Okay folks

I found out my other copy i did (not rhythmatist) is 0 region

the copy is not HD but an a copy of the video that has been digitalised to DVD done by professionals

this will not happen to next year for reasons i said before however i will let you know as soon as it is done

the VHS I own is in really good condition because i didn't over use it because i knew how tapes get damaged

I will not forget you guys and will get back to you all but if anyone else offers you DVD of the same thing go for it

I like so much how Andy act at an episode of the "Hitchhiker" series... he had a role of a journalist photographer from a rock magazine or something like this, and he knows how to play electric guitar and have great knowledge about rock story... So with her reporter found in a lonely house the body of a former famous guitarist that's alive like a vegetative person, then Andy starts playing an outstanding solo guitar, so the former rocker alive and then follows Andy to killed him... at the end Andy died... But I like that episode I remember recorded it, but I am not sure where it is...

If you want to see bad acting, check out Stewart's guest spot on The Equalizer. He plays this pick pocket who has to steal a wallet in a night club. So as a cover he dances around the person he has to pick pocket. Dorky dancing? Uh . . . way! BUT, my wife, who is NOT a Stewart fan at all, admitted he was pretty dreamy in that episode.
