Not to worry, Meg...we're not closing up shop on this fund for quite a while.

Equalizer, I thought I'd post an update on how much has been raised after the tour resumes...which is now MERE DAYS AWAY!! If all goes well (my computer has been unwell of late, and I fear it may be terminal!) I will get those numbers posted here tomorrow!!

I just had an email from the Melanoma International Foundation folks to say that the Paypal donation link is now up and active!

"Now accepting PayPal"

:D :D :D :D :D :D

The only thing is that I couldn't put in a name for which fund the donation goes towards... so PayPal donations won't reflect in Nancy's totals.

But it all goes to the same great cause, so it worries me not :)

Hey, folks.

I met Ian's daughter Barbara earlier this evening and was able to chat with her briefly. She asked me to express her thanks and gratitude to you all for your participation in the Leroy Coolbreeze fund. In addition, she said that she mentioned this fund-raiser to Stewart just yesterday, and he expressed his appreciation.

So it all goes 'round in circles...

^ And funny enough, I have money from sockii which will now make it possible for me to contribute as well. Such an incestuous little group we've got here.

DM thanks for mentioning our good intentions to Barbara.
I think any of us knows somebody or has some loved one or friend who can benefit by anything research can attain.

Thanks, Ellie. Barbara knew about the situation already and regretted not having hopped in here to send her thanks herself -- she's just been quite busy with the BDSS tour and everything. But she is quite touched and grateful that we're raising money in her dad's name. And it was quite cool to hear that even though Stewart didn't really know about it up until recently, he is happy with the idea as well.

You know what?

Us just doing this is kool enough. we don't need any thanks to do the right thing (ok, I know, speaking for us all when I ain't got no right!).

but to know that the Man and Barbara are pleased just adds icing on an already sweet cake.
(and I don't normally talk in cheesy metaphors).
