So this thread turns more punky... well is good, by the way Stewart sent a lovely message reply to Johnny into a chilean press interview... with good vibes obviously.
about punk scene... uhmm I like some of The Clash stuff, also some Ramones, KK obviously, and some of the Sex Pistols too... I am not a hard punk fan...
for your interest I tell you some about the punk scene here in Lima.... some tolds about a primitive punk (pre-punk) from a middle or later 60's rock band from Lima called "The Saicos"... some years ago ( I mean in the last nineties ) "Saicos" album was remastered and sell in UK and they were considered some primigenious punk band... well I am not sure, cause I never heard... next after the brit punk wave arrives in Lima... and democracy turns legal in Peru... appears some local punk bands in Lima.... they are called underground bands... some of those bands are "Leusemia", "Narcosis", "Erupto Maldonado", and lot of names... punk movement in Lima never died and continue with new bands like "100 voltios", "Diazepunk", "Dale vuelta", "Q.E.P.D. Carreño" and a large etc....
Obviously "The Police" nfluence into the latin american rock scene is giant... the reason "The Police" is a three piece band that fussion rock with different rythms...and you know people from Latin America are open to fussioned everything come from any corner of the world and richness it with great rythm.... Police inluences are remarkable on reputated latin american rock bands like:
"Soda Stereo", "G.I.T", "Los Pericos", "Fabulosos Cadillacs" (from argentina), "Prisioneros", "La Ley" and "Gondwana" (from Chile), "Paralamas do successso" and "Skank" (from Brazil), "Mana" (from Mexico), "Miki Gonzales", "Zen", "Arena Hash" (from Peru), "Juanes" (from Colombia)...well lot names I am not remember and others I forget...
