The Leroy Coolbreeze Fund/Melanoma International Fdtn.

Making sc.net profanity-neutral.
What a great excuse to swear our fucking, bastard heads off in a good cause.

Nancy and DM - awesome work - particularly making sure everyone understands it is (a) voluntary, and (b) private, but also that we'll be able to celebrate what we achieve as a group/gang/cult/collection of foul mouthed misfits.

I've loved being on this forum for the past months. But right now I'm in awe of you all.

xx

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Yes, I know I'm yelling, but it's with enthusiasm, not anger.

This is great. Thanks Nancyrose, and DM, and everyone else for being so enthusiastic.
Since this project was borne of enthusiasm for "the little flag that could," you might like to see again exactly where that flag could -- and DID -- go during the past five months.
Thanks for all of the research nancyrose & DM. The flag has seen quite a few sites.

Awesome news Nancy!

Now, when I just went to fill in the form and donate, there was a little pop-up when I typed in "Leroy Coolbreeze" that said "No results!" in the In Memory Of & In Honor Of box. Is there just a delay right now before the fund goes live?

Just thought I'd check, since I want to make sure my donation gets properly earmarked.

D'oh. Well, it wouldn't be a Flag-related activity if it didn't have a glitch somewhere.

Thanks for the info, sockii. Once it gets cleared up, will let you guys know.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

I started a thread on AUI last week about this and I added a post today. It's still on the front page. That crazy old fashioned forum doesn't bump a thread with a new post to the top.

Hi Sockii!

I think that pop-up (weird and annoying as it is!) just indicates that the name entered is not attached to an existing memorial fund. I got it, too, when I entered Leroy Coolbreeze, but it did disappear and my contribution was processed. I'll call the foundation tomorrow and make sure there is no problem.

I guess the first day or so is for working out the kinks!! Fortunately, the folks at MIF have been incredibly responsive and I have confidence that all this will be smoothed out by the morning.

Cool, thanks! Just wanted to make sure there were no bugs in the system.

Also BUMP because this should be up at the top o the board for sure.

Okay, this is just to confirm that we are now (fingers crossed) "glitch free!"

The contribution form is now set to accept international contributions (thanks Smudge!), and there should no longer be a "pop-up" displaying the message "no response."

FYI, because the fund has been set up as the "Leroy Coolbreeze Fund," the name entered in the "in memory/honor of" space should be Leroy Coolbreeze. However, MIF has also been directed to include anything that comes in with the name Ian Copeland, or even Stewart Copeland.

(And on the off chance that Phaty decides to send his in in honor of the "profanity fund," they've been advised that, yes indeed, that one's ours too!!!)

Thanks to all of you for your enthusiasm, and your patience as we get this humming along!
