BTW, here are some great youtube clips vespapod found from VH in Philly...in case anyone needed further temptation
Thanks for the links. They will be here in Indy on Sunday night. Dave just loves the stage. They sounded good in the YouTube clips & you could tell they were having fun.

The Lynard Skynard concert was so much fun!

Johnny is really good with a crowd, which always makes a concert more fun. Then again I usually see shows in really big stadiums, so maybe everyone is.

They were giving away tickets in a drawing, but I didn't win. The guy at that table kept nagging me that you have to be at least 18, carded! ha.

Everyone around me was getting stoned, even walking to and from the consession stands smoking one. I get paranoid as it is without a couple hundred people around me. lol

I am listening to the Jesca Hoop live in studio everyday. This is a phenomenal station and I bet that a lot of you music buffs listen to it.

Jesca is unbelievable! Sorry if already posted.

Tonight: Manchester Orchestra, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Kings of Leon at 5000 seat or so historic Ryman Auditorium, Nashville.

Manchester: Heavy KOL influence, also noticeable My Morning Jacket stylings. Lead singer intense, fun, lyrics introspective. Drummer awesome.

BRMC: Honestly? This band was lots better when it was Jesus and Mary Chain. I know they're trendy right now, but...zzzzzz

KOL: Kicked ass. I cannot believe these boys are all like 25, 26 years old. Played most of "Times" and a lot of stuff off "Aha." Apparently they're already writing album #4. "Knocked Up" was transcendent as was "Black Thumbnail", which may be one of my all time favorite tracks of the year. Sound much more polished than Bonnaroo...crowd totally insane. Seriously, I have never seen everyone on their feet for an entire show at this venue before. Go check 'em out if they come to your town.

Just got a decent single for the Foos 2/21 at the Spectrum. Took about 30 minutes in the queue (tried yesterday in the presale but could only get crap, and I won't do GA for these guys in an arena, no thanks). So I'm 8th row just at the left side of the stage (section 225, which is actually lower level at the Spectrum), not bad.

May try for something even better later on, but it is amusing to note that for $54 I got a ticket that would have been $225-250 for The Police. Now THAT I can afford right now...

New Years eve with Tom Cochrane & Red Rider in Vancouver.
"The thinking man's rocker" probably not too well know in the U.S. but up here he is a household item like back bacon and maple syrup. They will be playing with John Mellencamp early next year for a few dates starting in Montreal in February - check 'em out if you can :D

Just got Foos tix for here in Nashvegas January 28. 3rd row mezzanine, the closest level I could get without having to stand on the floor behind some dude with an 8 foot Afro all night.

Sockii's right - these tix are shockingly cheap. I wound up Stubhubbing, even though there are still some tickets on sale, b/c most of the good mezzanine tix were already sold out. Still, I paid *a lot* less than I would have for our boys.

Haven't seen them in a while, looking forward to it. And they're playing a smallish auditorium, too.

Hey!! I just went back and double checked my seat location - and they've HALVED the auditorium size by moving up the stage!!!! Now my tix are right next to the drumkit....YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!

Next week I've got Biffy Clyro at Brixton Academy on wednesday and Pinback somewhere small on thursday... can't wait!

Also, big news over here is the announcement of MY BLOODY VALENTINE reforming for a few shows. Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning and sold out in 5 mins. I wasn't one of the lucky few so I'm crossing my fingers for more shows being added.
