Hell, wouldn't it be appropriate for the audio book to be in the mellifluous tones of Stewart Armstrong Copeland? I can listen to him talk for hours (I'm a wee bit embarrassed about how many times I've listened to the Mac "Think Different Drummer" interview ...). Plus, maybe it could be like the Everyone Stares DVD: a straight reading, and the option of a reading with "commentary on" so he can editorialize about the events as he's reading!

Hell, wouldn't it be appropriate for the audio book to be in the mellifluous tones of Stewart Armstrong Copeland? I can listen to him talk for hours (I'm a wee bit embarrassed about how many times I've listened to the Mac "Think Different Drummer" interview ...). Other sign of twin sisterhood...you mean there is an AUDIO version of that interview? I read the transcript, but oh the Voice (with all due respect to Ol'Blue Eyes, always and forever)...Even the graphic Serengeti narrative...Nobody says "farting" like Stew. (Must really be love).
One of my favorite teen pastimes, especially in the first Police period, was "spot Stewart's voice" in the songs (apart from the obvious). Sometimes I think I really got it wrong (like the voice you can hear over Sting's at the end of Peanuts, today I am convinced it's not Stewart). But other times I think I spotted it. I think he sang at least one of the tracks in Darkness, No Time This Time, at the beginning of Shadows in the Rain, 1-2-3-4 at the beginning of Masoko Tanga, while the "yeah" sounds like Andy to me. Talk about obsession, eh?

Oh yeah, I played a *lot* of "spot Stewart's voice"! Drove my friends batty. I still think it's him at the beginning of Peter Gabriel's "Big Time", although the credits are not explicit one way or the other. So now I drive my husband batty with it
