Planning for San Antonio

Planning for San Antonio

Postby mknight on 10 Sep 2007 22:01

Now that I've told some friends of mine, who missed the Dallas/Houston shows about the San Antonio date, its time to make plans. First of all, I found out (or read more closely, hehe) that my TPT "Virtual Membership" is worth virtually nothing - it certainly doesn't apply for Presales orders.

So my question is this to any of you 'Regular/Premium' holders - can I work out a deal to get a presales code from you (if you're not going)?? I would love to see them again and especially with friends who also enjoy them. Since we can't PM on here, just post a reply on here with some way of hashing out the details somewhere else

Thanks in advance

I am checking on old TicketMaster, Sold out tomorrow, hence Craigslist Scalpers thing as usual.

But this time there is a possibility that Ol'Kaly will be there. Ok, don't wanna jinx it.

I strongly suspect that you can get better tickets from Stubhub or Ticketmaster without a code.
There is no bigger gong.

With TicketMaster you have to vulture and literally be on the line for a long time before the presale starts. I tried three times with McCartney and one time with Bowie (a good-hearted scalper offered me $200 tickets for Bowie at the HP Pavilion in San Jose LAST ROW HIGH UP, I told him exactly how he could use his tickets on his body).

I usually get tickets pretty easily because we don't go to big venues. Hubs thinks it's not worth it. He once saw the Stones at the Shoreline under a flogging rain and that changed his wiring forever. Also, our friends who go to the Bridge every year invariably tell us that it pours every year.

I have to say that it is much, much easier to get tickets in Europe. Wonder why. Less people?

Well, I'm guessing that if I want grouped seats in the first 10 rows (front and center), that Presales is the best possible way to get those. I bought my Dallas tickets and got lucky to get 14th row 40 days prior to the concert, via craigslist/ebay watching. I paid face value and that was a great deal for those tickets. But I don't know what kind of seats are typical of purchase through Presale ...

Nailed it.
Forget the liveNation presales
Each presale is dedicated to selling the difficult seats first.
They are absolute rubbish.

You will always get a better seat closer to the event like he says from TM or even better StubHub....

Hello fellow Austin area folks! We all need to meet!
I had excellent luck with a BB code for the Vegas show. I got front row of the second section on the floor. The seats were fantastic!
I have a code that I am using for the San Antonio show tomorrow. I've sent out an email to friends to see if they will share.
Best of luck to all in the Ticket madness! And, let's try to meet!
Cha to ya!

Criminy!!!! Why San Antonio and not Austin????

Austin is where it should be at!

Okay, since all the wishful thinking isn't going to change the venue, how can I get a SC flag to wave around???
Everybody needs a little lovin

Thank you very much for the info mknight.

In fact this day we conmemorate Mexican revolution of 1910, and I conmemorate my little boy birthday (he will be 11 years old)

I have to convince him to go to this gig because here in Mexico is day off and San Antonio is near Monterrey.

I got tickets!!!
OH MY GODD! or should I say, OH MY GREAT COPELANDIA!!
I was at work today at intense new contractor meetings in Austin at the Radisson downtown. I was panicked at how and the hell was I going to be able to sneak away and get tickets. I took my laptop with me but immediately found the guest internet computer. I snuck out of the opening meeting at about 9.46am and went down to the computer. I opened up my code and copied it. I opened my account with ticket master. i opened the world clock. i refreshed right at 10am. I got in and put in for two tickets at best available. the computer go stuck and I panicked it then came of with just ONE seat. it was floor in the first section. i threw it back and reentered for two tickets best available. after a while of the "your request is being processed" the system came up with TWO tickets FLOOR first section 16th row. I grabbed them! I know, it was 16th row but I tell you, I did not want to risk it and I was truly paying face value for floor seats only sixteen rows from the stage. . whewh!
so, i have used best buy three times and i have gotten good seats on the floor two times. the tampa seats were disappointing but it was still a fantastic show.
