[ I bet he could really hit a baseball. Also, it looks like the crowd was having fun batting around the beach ball. It looks like it got pretty close to the stage. I kept wondering if it would actually hit the stage or anyone on it.
Good eyes. I forgot there was beach ball going around at the beginning. I forget how many songs it stayed bouncing around for.
Have we got touchdown

I remember thinking, "I hope some tool doesn't knock that ball onto the stage and screw a song up." I'm sure a beach ball wouldn't have screwed things up, but to the crowd's credit, the ball stayed in the crowd.

Best "beach ball" at a concert: David Bowie's Serious Moonlight tour. He had a giant earth when he sang Space Oddity and he hit this into the crowd for it to knock about. In the official video from this tour, you see the crowd hit it onto stage but Bowie knocks it back. It's been awhile since I saw it, but I think the crowd hits it back so Bowie put the earth on his back like he's Atlas and then throws it back into the crowd. Pretty cool. 8)

thanks for the link, EQ. 20+ years ago I wouldn't have given something like this a second thought, but these days, I'm much more open to this kind of stuff... heh
