AUUUUGHHH! Missed a chance to see the Foos for Free

Postby Ben on 08 Sep 2007 13:23

Don't sweat it. Sure, any Foos show is good but I felt the same way when I passed up the chance to see the Police fan club show on May 27 for $50. Sure, it's fun to say you were one of the few to be there, but usually these types of shows don't showcase the band at their peak.

If only the Foos could open up the Police shows for the next North American leg - now that would be a show to see - my two favourite groups in one night. I envy all those Dodger Stadium folks!

Did anyone catch the VMAs? Kind of pissed me off that they did not show a complete FF song. Instead, they cut in occasionally to the FF concert.

Man, it looked amazing. The first clip was The Pretender with Pat on guitar along with other guests. I love Chris, but Pat always brought a unique quality to the FF songs. They also showed a clip of Darkling Nikki with Gnarles Barkley on vocals that looked too cool. There was another song, not sure what the title was with some guest vocalist I was not familiar with.

By the way, half the crowd seemed like typical tools.

The rest of the VMAs was essentially unwatchable for me. Similar concerts by Justin Timberlake and Fall Out Boy. Ew. And the worst moment was the opening. Britney Spears. Horrid. Dude, that was embarassing.
There is no bigger gong.

How bad was Britney? That poor girl is a human train wreck.

The song I did not recognize was the Dead Kennedy's "Holiday in Cambodia" with the lead singer of System of a Down on vocals.
