OMG I really don't quite know what to say  I am truly lost for words and whatever drivel I come out with tonight could never do justice to the amazing day I've had! So this'll just be a quickie and I'll post more tomorrow - honest!

I just want to say that I have met some gorgeous people from sc.net today and feel honoured to have shared all of this this with them. Oh blimey, now I'm sounding really soppy!!!

There really are too many highlights from today to post about right now, but suffice to say, I can't wait until tomorrow night :D :D :D :D :D

The flag has been passed on the the lovely Smudge and remains intact, much to my relief! It is a thing of beauty :-) The wonderful Stewart had definitely looked at DM's treasure map because we got a point right at the start and 4 more points (one accompanied by a smile that will live with me for ever!), including a fabby double point at the end, which my brother captured on camera. When I figure out how to get the pics on the site, I will!

I wish I could be more coherant at this point and give you a full review, but my brain has turned to mush.

In a word, INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

Thank you Stewart, Andy and Sting and thank you DM :D

I feel like I'm in love with the world

Lol, Helen xxx

YO!

What an amazing day and an amazing night.
Can I just start by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE smudge and dafttart - I had the best time chatting with those 2 when we first arrived at the pub. Not to dismiss Kimmy, Iain28, Aligorgeous and Feralkid out of hand - I just spent the most time with smudge and dafttart and those are 2 FABULOUS women!

Walking into the stadium was an amazing experience, having never been in a stadium before just the sheer scale of it gave me goosebumps. Being quite high up I could actually see Sting and Stewart scuttling about behind the stage a few minutes before they went on and i could see Stew down by the gong. I also had a clear view of dafttart with the flag which was awesome - man that thing is visible from space I swear!

The gong hit was gobsmacking... I barely remember the rest of the song. I know I was up on my feet and dancing. I DO remember the awesome flag-point to dafttart at the end of it though - Stew got up on his feet and pointed over the drum kit and I squeaked "FLAG POINT" at no-one in particular! But when all the lights went blue and Walking On The Moon started I honestly felt it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen in my life. The sound of 55,000 people singing along was spine-tingling and watching the jumbo jets flying low overhead as they came into land at Heathrow somehow added to the magic.

If I'm honest, from up where i was sat, for much of the show I felt a bit like I was watching TV - I felt too separated from the experience to really get drawn in emotionally. But every time i saw Stewart point at the flag I was just jumping up and down! I can't wait for you guys to see the photo that Helen's brother got of the double-handed flag point - it's right into camera and you see the lights bouncing off Stewart's massive grin!!

I'm SO excited about being down on the floor for tomorrow's show... I think I will be able to properly immerse myself in the experience then. And THEN there will be tears :)

PS: We got some great photos of us all hanging out and proudly displaying the flag - sadly none of them were on a camera of mine so you'll have to wait for those. And Kellie - you will enjoy the look of concern and fear in our eyes as we gingerly hold the corners with reverence!!!
