Flag-Spotting / London Calling, STEWART!!!

London calling to the faraway towns
Now that war is declared and The Police come to town . . .

Thank you for making contact with the Flag in Birmingham on Wednesday night, Stewart.

This weekend smudge, smax, kimmy, dafttart, Hannah, iain28, aligorgeous, Franco, Dietmar, olivier, samburusunset, Mister Gradenko, Wombat maybe, many people I have no doubt missed, and the vast majority of the populations of the British Isles will be gathering together for the Police Reunion Blitz of London.

Of course, with these ginormous shows coming up, here I am giving you the first real double-set of flag-spotting tips. We could very well slash and burn here, Stewart, but I have faith in that big brain of yours to be able to handle it.

London show #1 (SATURDAY)
For the first show of the weekend, the Flag will be waved by the ever-thoughtful dafttart. She and the Flag will be located 11 rows back in the section just stage-left/Andy-side of center: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee25 ... s1-sat.gif As is often the case, cymbals, cameramen, and that unflagging (heh) Andy fellow may come between you and the Flag, but you should have a pretty easy time of it otherwise.

London show #2 (SUNDAY)
You can dream up schemes while you're sitting in your seat, Stewart, but if you want to see the Flag on Sunday night, you'll probably need to get to your feet because the Flag and the unbelievably generous smudge will likely be a bit too stage-right/Sting-side for you to see them from behind the drumkit: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee25 ... s2-sun.gif But when you approach the edge of the stage during the encores, they will be happily waiting to show the love from all of Copelandia from 15 rows back.

London calling at the top of the dial.
After all this, can the Flag get a smile?

Have great shows this weekend, and

SHOW LONDON JUST HOW MUCH IT CAN TAKE, STEWART!!!

[If a few of you kind folks wouldn't mind giving an occasional bump throughout the day (a day which will likely be one of the least productive in British history) to help compensate for time zone differences, Mission Control would be appreciative. Thank you.]
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Lydia, that was really sweet -- thank you. Would you be the Lydia with Gio on "Rock TV"?

If Lydia will forgive me for quoting her from another thread, she once made The Best Post that I believe would perfectly describe some folks' feelings today:
