If the photos are good its totally down to sheer luck....i have no idea what im doing and everything was just on auto......i used a canon powershot a640 (how can somebody tell its is a canon powershot just by the pics?...thats crazy).
It says right next to each photo what was used to take them under "Additional Information." Most digital camera's include them in the photos these days, kinda like ID3 tags encoded in mp3's.

Anyway, those are awesome photos. One of my co-workers brought a Powershot on an out of town business trip recently and it took some great photos. i think it was an Powershot SD800 or something similar. My next camera is definitely going to be a Powershot.

Really nice pictures, HH, happy you had a blast!
You should really consider adding the photos to the Police reunion group at Flickr, so even more Police fans can see them :D http://www.flickr.com/groups/the_police
But you should probably take a deep breath first hehehe
I was excited after I saw them too.

That had to be the biggest front row ever. There are about 1,000 people over on TPT who also ended up in the front row for the B show.

Apparently, the ushers/security told folks in the first three rows that ANY OF THEM could go to the front for the show. That so DOES NOT happen in the US!!! I've seen security keep back people from the second and third rows when there was room in the front. Bastards.

At least the Birmingham venue staff made sure that there was an enthusiastic crowd in the front!

Are you going to any of the Europe shows, OG? Something tells me it'd all be right up your alley...

Re getting to the front....at the first birmingham show everyone in the first 3 rows got a wristband (which said "The police The Rehearsal") and was told they could go right to the front if they wanted when the band came on.
Obviously....i wasnt going to turn such an offer down.

The stewards all seemed to be really nice and sensible.

They did this in Toronto too, at least for the first show, and it worked quite nicely.

In Hartford, wristbands were also given out to the first three rows, but the ushers/security staff who distributed them seemed to have no idea what they were for. Finally, some staffer did tell us that we could move forward, but almost as soon as we did we were jumped on by other security people telling us to get back to our seats. At that point, who wanted to argue and miss what was happening on stage? It was very badly bungled.

Glad it worked out so well for those of you in Birmingham!

Yeah, ^ that was pretty annoying at Hartford. But I'm glad to hear that they're actually letting you move up in Europe. Great job, HH.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Hmmm. Yep, it's been strict security at every show I've been to, also. In Louisville I was out in the aisle a bit during the last encore and the <strike>goon</strike> agent had nothing better to do but stand there next to me and shoo me back, then monitor to make sure my foot didn't go over the line into the aisle. I was in about the 12th row...wasn't like I was trying to sneak in from cheaper seats or anything...

It's happened at every show I've seen so far save Bonnaroo. Those guys are really determined to make sure you don't have too much fun, for your dollar. It's too bad.
I HEART you HH!

If you have cable it takes a sec to see the pictures. The last one is really Stewart meets Dr. House, I almost can hear Stew saying "Get Andy an MRI"...

Thank you!
So glad to know that I'm not the only one that has noticed the similarity between Hugh laurie and Stewart Coepland. I actually watch that show, just because I fancy it's a little like if Stewart were a crazy, brilliant drug addict, doctor...
Thanks to Sockii (you rockii) for awesome Avatar photo!
