Going back a few years.....
I just finished watching this movie. It's one of my favorites (I'm a John Hughes junkie) and it's absolutely one of my favorite soundtracks. Ah, the hospital scene with the Kate Bush song brings me to tears every time. I don't have kids, nor will I, but there's something so poignant about that scene with that wonderful song.

Anyway, I tried really hard to pay attention to SC's score, too, and it was really amazing. I loved all the building drums to really crucial moments of the movie. Lots of his other scores get mentioned more frequently, but I enjoy this one because I love the movie so much.

Quick, what was the name SC suggested for the baby?
So damnit Maggie!! Was his name Horatio????

STEWART: Was your baby name Horatio??

Yay!!!! What do I win??? Can I be Stewart's headband minion for the show of my choice? :D :D

It's really pathetic, though. I haven't seen that movie in something like 20 years and I remember a little detail like that. Of course, it WAS Stewart who said it. But, I have trouble remembering where I put my car keys!!!!! :? D'oh!!!

You always had to watch the credits in John Hughes movies-- don't you remember? Then of course when you see ol' SC spouting a Shakespeare name you have to watch it every time it's on cable!

You mean you never watched the credits during Ferris?! That's the one that stands out. Maybe _Sixteen Candles, _Pretty in Pink_, and _Breakfast Club_ didn't have "exciting" credits-- so I guess it's just FBDO and SHAB you've got to watch the credits for. Have fun!

Don't forget the obligatory bottle of Veuve, ladies! How well do you think French champagne goes with crabs and Old Bay ... :?:
