Not exactly. But the problem is the water.....

Bugger. Heathrow practically has a blackout on night flights. Getting back sunday night really isn't easy. Unless we do some insane-o reorganisation of tickets so he can get there on saturday it doesn't look good.

Are you trying to get a one way ticket?

A few years back I found that getting a round trip and not using the return part worked out vastly cheaper than trying for one way. 1,350 GBP one way to USA, 450 GBP return, figure that one out.

Phaty, Lynne is right, that's what I take from east of France to London via Paris, by TGV (high speed train) and Eurostar. Departure from Metz 10:42 AM, arrival in London Waterloo at 4:27 PM local time !
