Postby policerule on 01 Sep 2007 13:02

the history channel just aired a spot for a show with "truth" as the song in the advert.

i think this is the first time ever that i have heard a police song in a commercial!

anyone else ever hear one?

hey PR!
I just heard Next to You being used to promote a new show in one of the networks fall line-ups. I was in another room, so unfortunately don't know which one, but I got a good chuckle!

Hey PR!

Now, with all of the bands (including those who were "never selling out") lending their music to commercials, why not?

I believe Sting took them to court - it must have been around 1982 as he refers to it in the Gateshead DVD.

to this day it is said he doesnt use any deoderant!

Aw, I love the History Channel, so I don't mind that so much.

Also dig the Faith No More "Dirty Job" theme music to the eponymously titled production....
