S.O.S.! Ever get tix thanks to a Ticketmaster screw-up?

Postby DirtyMartini on 03 Sep 2007 17:01

Say, you managed to a buy a ticket before it was supposed to be on sale cuz the Ticketmaster system was activated prematurely?

And say, you've received a confirmation number and such.

Did you trust that the tickets would indeed be relinquished and not somehow canceled once the error might be discovered?

Did you go back and buy another ticket during the officially correct sale times *just in case* -- even though it might mean having to sell an extra pair of tickets at the last minute? (Cuz you might not have any reason to trust you'd find out if the original tickets went through until you actually received them?)

Any experience or thoughts out there?

Help please?

OH yeah. For my Vegas Show I got 2 tickets and paid for only one I thought. Instead I got billed for 3. HTF that happened I will never know.
IT got resolved thankfully. (I kept the ticket with the better seat though of course) :D

I was considering another show, MSG but since it is Halloween and I have SMALL ones 6&3 I am thinking not a good Idea...perhaps maybe
Atlanta or something..will see. All I know is today I am gonna look into it.

No experience or sage advice. Just an opinion. I would buy an extra pair of tickets during the correct sale time. Just in case.

Oh and Kel - RING THEM.

Honestly they generally manage to sort out screw ups when you get them on the phone. Just don't muck about. Ask for a supervisor straight away.

Don't quote me on this but I have heard that ticketmaster have had pre sales before other places like TPT

i receive email all the time from them since i have an account

email them and find out or ring them

i emailed ticket master and they emailed me back and sorted out all my problems but that is in Australia and have no problems with them i do not know what other countries are like

If not sure ring them and talk I always find most are friendly if you are and I know you are sweetheart!

Give it a try

Yeah. Couldn't get a person on the phone in time; order was solid til the sale started. Then it was canceled. It was a nice dream. Just one of those situations where the risk just had to be taken, just in case.

Thanks, everyone. And a special thank you to smudge for even trying to call from inside the UK for me.

Sorry dear, I haven't had a positive experience with Ticketbastard...ever.
I did buy an extra ticket for the Vancouver May 30th show. During the frenzy of online ticket buying I mistakenly bought one too many tickets (a single awesome seat) that they took back without question so I guess I can't bad mouth them too badly.
