Yes, he sang it before, I heard it on booties usually whenever Hole in my Life was played because the chords are very similar (you can sing both song using the same bass chords). Probably Stingo wanted to let people know who was his inspiration for the song.

And Marta, sorry about the confusion. I know that Andy likes blondes, with one notable exception (Get THROB), while Stew prefers redheads, and as for Stingo, he is Not So Shallow As To Stop on The Surface Because Women are Beautiful Inside too (translate "anything goes")...
