...but they have THAT song.. °Stewart Copeland says it wouldn't even matter...°
It's a great lyric, and it's great tht they dedicated a song to him (Are you there Not Listening?) but the music is kinda lame...

Sparky's Flaw. I came across that a few months ago and nearly fell over. Stewart's reaction was amusing.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Lots of songs have used people's names before, I don't think there's any copyright or permission required. ("Robert De Niro's Waiting", "We Didn't Start the Fire", "Boom Boom Mancini", "It's The End of the World As We Know It", "One Week" just to name a few off the top of my head.).

I'm taking this a bit OT but I think Sockii is right on this one. I saw an interview with Paul Simon once and he related a story about meeting Joe DiMaggio. He said Joe was upset with him for mentioning his name in "Mrs. Robinson." Simon said Joe really didn't get it because he told Simon, "I'm right here. I didn't go anywhere."

Oh yeah...Tom Petty's "Jammin' Me" is another...

Guys, THAT WAS IN JEST. I work with copyright laws for chrissake!
I was just referring to the joke EQ made in the now defunkt fan fiction trade about Sting asking for copyright cuts on anything under the sun.

Either I never come across clearly or you need to lighten up a bit or notice the emoticons.
