Jeez. Courtney Love on Howard Stern? I bet that was a train wreck...
It was. Absolutely. 2004 was a very painful year for a fan like yours truly. I experienced all the worst a fan could take about one of her favorites.
Luckily she is back with a vengeance now.

All I remember about her appearance was a lot of ranting and raving on her part about Dave Grohl  Seemed to be her major hang up at the time how supposedly every song he wrote was an attack on her.

How did that old Carly Simon song go?

"You're so vain/I bet you think this song is about you..."

Well, she has been many times. The last time was at the time of the crack addiction, when she went there in her nightie, barefoot, etc...The Wendy Episode...I was in NY at the time, and everybody who was with me refused to go to see her concert, where she banged the mic on somebody's head (who obviously sued).
I have felt alone in my Police fandom many times in my life, especially at the beginning and then because I am not much of a Stingo fan, but you can never, ever believe what it is like being a Courtney fan. In this country. In England, that's cool.
The endless court appearances...Letterman and Leno and finally, being taken to Bellevue on a stretcher on her bday (she is a Cancerian too, btw).

Like Sockii...I'm a confessed Howard fan and Sirius fan...Cool news about this weekend coming up.

There was a Who channel. But it was only temporary.

BTW, I do have on tape Stewart's only appearance on the HS show. I believe it was around 1989. He was promoting Animal Logic. One of these days I'll convert it to MP3 and post it here...if anyone is interested that is. :-)

Definitely Bob! I'd love to hear it.

I've heard Sting & Trudie on the show numerous times but never Stewart's appearance.

I am saying this with some apprehension, but, yes, please, Bob, I would like to hear it. I trust Stewart to keep anybody in check. 8)

It might be a little while before I can dig it up, as I'm involved in a major video editing project that I want to see til to the end...But I promise, I will get it together some time soon.

I won't even give any details anyway.

Its' funny, I kind of keep quiet with the Stew stuff I have lying around that I've never shared. One thing I've always wanted to upload were some pictures I got while in the 2nd row center for Stewart's Rhythmatist show in NYC. I mean, we had a big lens and everything. Great pics. Showed them to Ian once. Even he was impressed.

Funny, because I understand Stewart is not really proud of the film?
:?:
I wonder why. From the videos I have seen it seems great with all the African drumming and scenery.

The Rhythmatist show/tour does not = the film. Two separate things.

I have been visiting your site and seen the amazing job you have done with the screencaps, for which I commend you for being probably the most devoted and hardworking SC fan on Earth.
I imagined that the music accompanied the imagery as it does in the videos. You must obviously have/have seen the DVD, and it is probably different from the videos that have surfaced on YouTube.
But that is what available out there.
BTW, thanks for clarifying. Another quest begins.

I might just take you up on that Kellie...

BTW, what do you think of Smugmug? I'm working on a story on a similar website and was trying to see what people get out of it as opposed to free sites like snapfish and kodak easy share, etc.

Hmm. I don't know if I can be of much official help for your article for two reasons: 1. I'm not actually paying for the service. (A friend in the company was kind enough to set up an account for me.) and 2. I haven't actually explored all the functionality yet. There are all kinds of options on smugmug that I have yet to discover -- I've only just started using it, so I've pretty much just been dealing with the obvious functions like uploading and captions. I can't speak to the cool advanced features because I haven't taken the time to look at them yet.

If this helps at all, the really cool advantage of smugmug that I discovered right away is the absence of size limits: they don't limit image dimensions, and they don't limit the amount of space that you use. Thanks to my smugmug account, I've cleared up a bunch of space on my hard drive. I have DVD back-ups of the important stuff, but it's actually much faster and more convenient to hop onto smugmug and be able to grab the original file of a photo (in all its huge dimension/hi-res glory) in seconds than to search for the right disc, wait for it to mount, wait for it to copy, etc. Being able to access full-size images quickly is really quite nice.

Smugmug also has some really great batch functions, such as being able to edit all the captions in a particular gallery on a single page rather than having to go picture by picture. (I've never really used snapfish, etc., so I don't know if they have that ability -- but I sure do like it.)

There are other things I could mention, but I'm not sure what you're looking for. If you have specific questions that I can address, feel free to email me. I'm happy to help if I can.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.
