I think that's why I'm so crazy for Oysterhead. Claypool/Anastasio can more than keep up with the vibe.

Plus, I'm convinced Claypool is Frank Zappa reincarnated...I just can't get enough/Of his awesome bass playin' and stuff.
Hmmm, Les Claypool as Frank Zappa, hadn't thought of that before but I think you're right. 8)

I think Deborah Holland has a lovely voice but I don't think the chemistry was there. Not for me anyway.

I don't think Deborah was ever meant to be the front person of a "pop band", and that was a big problem. Some people have that personality and charisma, others don't, even if they can write good songs and have a good voice.

Actually, I really recommend reading this interview with her for more insight on the band, where she was coming from, what worked and what didn't...

He recovers quite nicely when his drum stick goes flying out of his hand at :50 into the first video and you could tell he was smiling!!! He had another in his hand in seconds from the stash in front of him :D

It was a pretty cool song and I must admit my first time hearing AL...she does have a very good voice but I agree...not a front pop band kind of gal...not much presence!

It made me think of Paula Cole when I heard her singing that song...and man she can sing and I love her with PG and that would be one hell of a reunion...I will have to give her new album a listen...sorry to get off track
