THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE

Postby bella on 19 Aug 2007 14:52

This is the first thread I gravitated to this fine Sunday morning and I was crying so much I couldn't read through my tears, irishrose. What a wonderful experience. I think I'm going to start crying again, I'm so happy for you. These little moments are what life is all about. All the wonderful people you met. Everyone gathered together to celebrate such a wonderful musician who proves to possess the most gracious spirit.

Beautiful.

xoxo

Lovely story Irish Rose. Thank you for sharing!

I am curious about what he asked about Colorado. Can't help it, it's where I live.

IrishRose....

Thank you for sharing your meeting with us.

It was a very emotional time for you, but I'm so glad you managed to say some words and 2 autographs... WOW!!

It's good that the photographers got some photos as you couldn't take your own photos..... You'll have to get in touch with some to get some prints!!

Tell me something........ Have you washed your hand yet where he shook it?

Kimmy

I will be in touch with the people in a few minutes..got their phone number off the website and gonna call them. Oh yeah I want pics.

I just hope that Stewart reads my story on here and if possible respond to it...just so he knows how much my meeting him meant to me. That would really solidify things for sure. He was wonderful and such a pleasure. Fantastic, great guy.

Still on cloud nine... :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks, IR. What a wonderful day! Thanks for sharing the experience...I got the goose-bumps, lump in throat, etc....he is truly the complete package. :D

BTW. For me, your broken-posts were a bonus...added to the excitement of the story...sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting for more....hope you're feeling better. Thx

Not sure if the pics show this, but to me during the event, he seemed strangely thin. Anyone else get this impression?

I need to recheck the pics...as I tend to get a little ga-ga from time to time. As we all know he has sure had a hectic schedule of late; however, if his performances are any indication of his condition, I'd say he's at least been eating his Wheaties

he's definitely thin - but no thinner than he was during his salad days as evidenced by lynn's photos, etc.

drumming burns a shit-ton of calories - especially with the enthusiasm and energy SC applies to it. but I saw the man eat - he is no anorexic. he is just blessed with a fast metabolism, even at his age.

shannon - you are just so adorable and you give GREAT HUGS! anyone who is feeling low, get a hug from shannon - she is a great hugger!! i am really glad i got to meet you & everyone else there - it wouldn't have been the same without you.

Yeah, I'm sure he's lost quite a bit of weight with all the energy he's been expending on tour.

And Irishrose, in response to your hopes that Stew will respond to this post. Isn't it always a kicker that even though we just met someone we idolize and go away thinking it can't get any better than that, we still are hankering for more? I hope he responds, too, but even if he doesn't, you had an opportunity that most of us will never have and I'm sure you will be just very thankful for that.

When I said thin, I didn't mean Calista Flockheart. I was just sayin' in comparison to the Synchronicity period, where his arms seemed kinda buff.
