My flag

My flag

Postby invisible on 20 Aug 2007 14:47

Hello,
can anybody help me to create a kryptone flag to present at some european concerts?
Possibly I need a file with SC logo to print on the Kryptone flag. I have tried on many sources but I'm not able to modify dimensions and besides they are not printable because they have not a great pixel quality.
I would send it to a photo studio where they have a machine usually used to transfer photos or messages on t-shirts.
If it will not possible I will try with my son (....7 years old...) to make an handmade work with pencils and similar!!!
Thanks to everybody.

Talk to the boss (that would be DM)
°My kid wants to be an influencer.
What the hell does that mean?
°It means I’ve failed as a parent.

Why be a copycat when "the original" is going to be making the rounds...?

Yes, I agree with Sockii. The flag is a special thing and if you can make it to one of the shows that it will be attending then hopefully you will get a chance to sign it, invisible. I can totally appreciate your enthusiasm, but I wouldn't want to see another flag out there. maybe if you held up a sign that says "Where's the flag?" Or back to those "directional markers" that were suggested in some thread ages ago. lol.

(But then, I don't know, how would I feel if I were Stewart and I saw a sea of flags in the crowd?) eh.

I agree.........

We did have a flag replacement at a gig though didn't we?

But the flag seems to be attending loads of concerts anyway, Invisible were you looking at any gigs in particular?

There is, and will only ever be, one truly genuine Flag. Even if someone makes a replica, it will never hold the same mystique and legendary status of the original.

That said, there is nothing wrong with someone wanting an SC flag of their own. I know I do. But only if it were "licensed:", or "endorsed" so to speak. I don't have the means, nor flag-making abilities to create one (like Moskeido did), and even if I did, I would not want to encroach, mimic, imitate, impersonate or jeopardize the Flag's mission in any way.

I think it would be great if replica flags, or some kind of SC flag were available at some point for us fans. But ONLY when the time is right. And IMO the right time isn't now; perhaps when the real Flag is retired, or when the tour is over. It's not my decision. I can wait.

Hi,
I didn't want to became a flag botlegger; surely I had not understand the "sense" of our flag. So I want to excuse with the Originals.
My purpose was only to present another flag in Munchen and Dublin where I will go, to make a gift to Stewart; as I wrote in another topic, I met him after a concert of La Notte della Taranta in Rome; well from that meeting I have always loved him for his being not a superstar, but a simple man that speak with another man; we spoke about The Police and about the problems at that time with Sting....(I would prefer omit it...).
I have not understand that FLAG must be only one to travel around the world like an Olympic Flame. But if I can, I think Stewart would be happy to have other friends of his Forum in the audience.
Wouldn't it be good to see hundreds green flags in a stadium?
Hovewer I will wait for your comments about my purpose and thank you.

I'm pretty sure that the flag is already being represented in Dublin and Munchen, but the other reason it's important to keep it to just one flag is that as many sc.netters as possible are signing the back so that it can be sent to Stewart at the end of the tour as a memento and token of our devotion!

"I think Stewart would be happy to have other friends of his Forum in the audience. "

I've always felt that the flag represents ALL of us here, regardless of who is waving it at the show.

The flag isn't the only way to show Stewart that there are sc.netters in attendance. Stewart has demonstrated at several shows he can spot audience members wearing their Stewartcopeland.net t-shirts a mile away.

I really think we ought to consider a pink-sneaker banner...since Andy won't be able to spot our actual pink sneakers (trainers, for those of you across the pond) from the stage...
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!
