Almost (but not really) Giants Stadium review

Postby nancyrose on 12 Aug 2007 13:54
Thanks for the great photos, Takeshi (even if I'm in far too many of them).

I'd like to point out that those last three photos at Giants must have taken about 10 minutes to get. It seems that the moment that The Police went offstage and on break, so did our brain cells cuz we all had become completely incapable of taking a picture.
All I remember is uncontrollable fits of giggling!!

Can I just say I loved the cakes!!!!!

I completely agree with the feelings you all have.

The Police haven't even got to Europe yet and I'm kind of a little sad!

I grew up with the band......

I wrote loads on another thread ages ago so I wont bore everyone, but there were lots of things that made me feel really close to to the band, lots of similar things. It's not just their music, it's their background, where they lived and toured, the silly things they did....... All at the very impressionable time of your life.

I mean I joined the Police force as I was inspired by them!!

Everybody moves on, gets on with their lives then suddenly WOW!!!

The boys are back and all those emotions I felt all those years ago just come crashing back!!!

I think that's why I have managed to spread my concert going out a bit.
I get to see them in September, October and November..... just so it's not all over in one hit!

However what I love is what everybody has to say in this site, whether you were a fan from the start or at the end, it doesn't really matter, we all love Stewart and wish to share everything we can.

I have finally organized some of my photos from the shows. Here is a link to the Giants Stadium set. Most are of the Jumbotrons. The photos are on a Kodak site but you shouldn't have to sign in to Kodak to view this album. Hope you enjoy!

Nancy, Glad you had such a fun summer. Look forward to seeing you in Toronto in November for some more great tunes.

In the meantime, can't wait for Twickenham and my first taste of an outdoor show since Exhibition Stadium in Toronto! From what I remember, they had tremendous sound, night and day from everyone else touring with stadium shows back in 1983. From what you guys have been saying on the forum that is the case again.

Hi Ted! It will be great to see you again in Toronto! Seems like a million miles away right now...definitely feeling some withdrawal pangs!!

Meanwhile, Twickenham will be here before you know it...time for the European fans to start a countdown, I think...all the excitement moves overseas soon and so many there have been waiting so patiently!! Hope you all have a fabulous time and spare us no details in your reviews!!

Are you going to any other shows in Europe, Ted?
