lynne, i have the same crap going on with my feet... (might be a little TMI, but oh well)

i use the dr. scholls inserts that cup the heel and have an arch. they are red & blue with no toe. i love them. my plantar crap hasn't come back since i've been using them. i have uggs and they have no support what-so-ever and they work great for those too!

free orthotic advice and corrections for a bourbon and coke at your nearest respected venue- tickets of course included (HMOs accepted)

by the way, tube socks are known to cause severe plantar fasciitis so bad you need to get one of those motorized scooters when your 65.

actually for good advice...Im not a big fan of dr scholls....I like the Spenco inserts that are green and yellow- much better support and there is a newer version that is orange and black (Holy shit- sounds like flag colors) i think foot lockers and ladies foot lockers carry them for 20 bucks. If your a member of the board and bow to me or sockiis every whim, you may send me a tracing of your sneaker and I can make y'all something more professional. see sockii for address

Damn! And I thought it was all of that freakin' running ... that's what I get for being an SC fashion victim!

Now I fear that if we ever find ourselves at a concert together, there will be much shot-slinging, tube sock removing, and foot examining. Eeeeeeuw!

I can vouch for Birk insoles. Even doc martens become wearable with them. Much less problem with dodgy knee cartiledge since I started using them with pretty well everything.

(Somewhere out there in the great void of space and time, there's a 14 year old me screaming 'YOU CAN'T DISCUSS YOUR DODGY FEET AND KNEES ON STEWART COPELAND'S WEBSITE!")

Love it. :D

This thread tickled me so much - I'm actually worrying about how to preserve knee joint when I know I'm going to be bouncing around like a loon come the london shows. Haven't had the guts to warn the orthopedic surgeon guy yet.....

God love you all. So funny. So practical. So,erm, sc.net.

now it's become patently obvious that the average age on this forum is over 30... hell over 35 and up!

I think SC.net insoles are required for use by all considering the amount of standing in concerts, standing in line, dancing about, etc. that we all do.

can we get the logo printed on them, vespapod?

OK, ladies, the retro revival is alive and well and creating a plenitude of choice in the pink trainers department! Reebok has reissued its old hi-top aerobic shoe in a 25th anniversary version, and it comes in, you guessed it, pink:

Well, more of a fuschia, actually ...
