Childhood Police Lyric Mishearings

Postby CHA on 12 Aug 2007 06:07

thanks alot English-lion
always nice to be welcomed

as for Forms... I thought of them as forms of people, tables, chairs

the Police changed my life as I suspect they did for many here.

I never saw them...I stood outside SHEA Stadium in 1984 i think
couldnt get in, the scalpers prices were out of my range
i watched the WideScreens and cried inside

recently the videos available on youtube have moved me greatly
they were the first band to make ME want to play music
This really is the place where dreams come true.

Hi everyone (welcome CHA) :) ,

For me it was DSTCTM…

”…in silence (inside her) there’s Laurie (longing), this girl’s an open page…”

Since my first name is Laurie and I was 17 when ZM was released…I guess I don’t have to elaborate any further where my head (or … ) was focused on at the time. I played the album every single morning while I was getting ready for school until I graduated in 81 (obsessed  )…

Man In A Suitcase

Postby plutonic on 14 Aug 2007 03:46

In my pubescent years I thought this line:
"I phone security, I wait for my connection"

was:
"My insecurity, I wrestle my erection."

Actually, I don't remember what I thought the first part was, but I definitely sang the latter part. What else would a lonely guy in a hotel room do, I thought?
