Leaving for Jamaica tomorrow and, while the Mac is making the trek with me, I am thinking I need to enjoy the beach bit.

Besides, I am not sure of they have wifi in treehouses.

Throb, have a great holiday, travel safe. Demogal, don't be an asshat but please take our pic with Stewart if it works. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it.

the inaugural meet-up was great!!

amanda (our lovely drink mistress) was fantastic & filled us in on the recent remodel. they will be hanging some of the stuff back up soon but they are really trying to bring in a bigger crowd during the lunchtime hours and thus, they needed a "brighter" look during the day (as opposed to the dark red & black which was the signature style as long as I can remember). the copeland family still owns everything & has no intention of selling - they just need to bring in some more customers. the tables will eventually be replaced - many of the downstairs ones are damagaed, worn, and the keepsakes have been affected by the sun. I hope they take those amazing keepsakes and frame them because those buttons, passes and records are my favorite part!

anyway, future meet-ups (or drink-ups) will witness the remodel in progress.

and I want to mention that we were warmly welcomed by the staff - they all loved hearing our stories.

Thanks for the update demogal!!! If Amanda is the one that has served me the last few times I've been there, you are right: she is super-awesome! Did anyone happen to take pics of the inside during the meet-up? And I'm glad to hear it's staying in the family!!!!
