Stewart, Andy, and David Rasner

It's gotta be the total sum of the parts for it to be the Police....anything else is unacceptable performing the Police repertoire...INCLUDING solo Stingo IMO.

Maybe a Andy, Stewart, and Dave show would be best just for a little private show in front of friends and fans like us.
So get the word out: if Andy, Stewart, and Dave ever get in the mood for playing a few songs together, the doors to my house are always open. I would supply the beer. Maybe order some chicken wings too. My personal chef (i.e., me) does not know how to make any macrobiotic or microbiotic or anythingbiotic dishes, so if Sting is going to stop by too, tell him he will have to bring his own chef. I hear he may have some experience with that.

OK, when I first read Equalizer's post, I figured Fallout was some new, up and coming original band that I'd just never heard of. Now that I've actually spent some time doing a little research (I visited their site, read up on them, listened to a few tunes and watched a couple of their videos) all I can say now is, "Equalizer I hope you were fucking joking." You can't seriously think this guy could replace Sting in any way, shape, or form - or that Stewart and Andy would even CONSIDER FOR ONE SECOND touring with him??? Sting (at 55) completely blows this dude off the stage vocally. You used the word "cheesy" - I can think of a couple more. Like "embarrassing" and "humiliating".

Nothing against what Fallout is doing, but come on! Would you be just as satisfied if Paul McCartney and Ringo toured with John Lennon and George Harrison impersonators from a Beatles tribute band?

I get it now (since visiting this forum) that a lot of Stewart fans feel the need to hate Sting, but man - this was either a complete joke, or a new low in Sting bashing.

Sure, Sting is Sting and no one can replace him in The Police.

The same happen with other two pals, but you know, in any band, the singer get almost all the attention, and we have to admit that Sting is very sexy and many women like him.

And he is also a great bass player.

1. I was not seriously suggesting that Andy and Stewart would ever actually do this, especially on a full blown tour. This post was mainly just some between legs of the tour frivolity.
2. I may occasionally lovingly bash Sting once in awhile, but I really did not mean to seriously insult him by this post. As for my feeling on Sting, note the BJ that I give him in my recent Frejus review.
Man, people are so sensitive recently. Just trying to get a discussion going.

With that said, while I don't think Dave could really replace Sting, I happen to really like Dave's voice. I don't know. It just hits me the right way.

Sorry - I just have to be sure - you do realize that's Andy singing "Mother", right?[/quote]

No I did NOT!!!! Are you sure?!? Now I don't know if it even funnier OR creepier!!
Are you SURE Andy was singing.......'Cause its really funny if Mr Sting was, especially after Sting's comment about Stewart's chisled or rugged handsomeness in Broken Music.....hmmmmm....
I like Sting WITH The Guys. His ropey baslines and kinda' angular top register singing style, that he used more w/ The Police framework, sets off what SC & AS put out there. Les Claypool bass, amazing as it can be, would've cluttered things up a bit.
I am 44, and was end of h'school/beginning of univ. when the Sting Storm hit, to me it seemed at the expense of that spikey rhythmic trio that I was 'woke-up' by. So, any acidity on my part is a remnant of THAT.
Hey, Mr. Sting IS the Voice of the Police.
BUT Stewart is The Heart. Oo-oo, and The Legs and The Face(for me at least) Now I feel really creepy for saying that about a Dad AND a Husband! Whew!!!!

100% positive. :)

Wow! I've been to that site so many times and I've never notice the video section. Wow! Great rare clips! Who'd a thunk they'd make a Mother video. Creepy

To me, Mother song with Andy´s voice, plus bass guitar and drum sounds is a hardcore music masterpiece.
