Stewart, Andy, and David Rasner

I think cheesy may be going too far. I'm not talking about them trying to play stadiums or even areas like MSG. I'm talking a smallish venue, like the House of Blue or the Joint at the Hard Rock. Packed with rabid fans. Really casual approach. No set list ("Set lists are for wimps!"). Not afraid to make mistakes. Just out there to have fun. Come on. You Gotta admit that a show like that even without Sting would be great. Come on. Any show where they Omega Man, Darkness, and Contact can't be considered cheesy and unaccceptable.

Thanks Falcon. Now I can't get the revised version of Mother out of my head. And then it perfectly leads to Miss Gradenko.

Reality:
Stewart will compose his symphony, Andy will go back to his solo albums.
Sting will start studying harp.
Fantasy:
The Police put out a new album and set out the second part of their career.

It would be good to see but it wouldn't be the police

As a fan of all 3 it would be missing 1/3

I have to tell you when I went to see Sting concerts it was Cheesy and unacceptable that the Stewart and Andy weren't there when Sting sang Police Songs

OK, working like crazy to imagine that Stewart and Andy would actually do such a thing...Sure, I'd go, but I'd a million times rather see Oysterhead, Gizmo and an Andy solo show.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Tee-hee-hee-heee.......nice to know I'm not alone in this now :D! or maybe

in Sting's voice:"Well, all the girls I go out with become 'Stewart Copeland' in the end, well all......" That right there could explain some of the Scowling Pouty-ness someone else mentioned, hmmm... but I do sorta hate to put Stewart in the middle of all this.....

BEST CASE SCENARIOS

The Police reflect over this tour and its results and decide to put out anuzzer album.

Stewart recognizes that his work on ES has been not only noticed but ADORED, and releases a soundtrack made of derangements of Police classics.

Andy makes a second album with Robert Fripp. Stewart guest-stars on percussion.

Back to th' Equalizer......
Now that I've time to digest the "Miss Gradenko" follow up, oo, yeah, and now it IS a little creepy :( !
Sorry Stewart  !
Should I apologize to Sting too?
Something tells me tho', that Andy would be laughing his head off.....while making his fabulous second album w/ Robert Fripp & Stewart(shove over Bill Bruford!!)
Kalpypso, have you gotten the new Summers/Verdery CD yet?

You're correct, Equaliz. I had only the first, hence the mistake.

The second one is not as good as the first. BUT, the second is much more dominated by Andy, so I would highly recommend it. It has been rereleased recently so it should not be too hard to find.

[ When you get to "Mother", just replace Mr.Sting singing 'my mother' w/ 'Stewart Copeland' and 'mother' alone w/ 'Copeland' ]

Sorry - I just have to be sure - you do realize that's Andy singing "Mother", right?
Sting is a huge draw to real Police fans. I bought Dream of the Blue Turtles when it first came out, out of curiosity, and then completely ignored his solo stuff ever since. But put him back with the Police and I'll pay top dollar. The three of them together have something no one else can replace. I'm not interested in hearing anyone else sing those songs, just as I'm not interested in hearing another guitarist or drummer play on them. I suspect I'm not alone.
What he said. Exactly and Word For Word.
